It's a Red Day Valentine with my Grade 1 Pupils

Today is a special day because the whole world is celebrating Valentine 's day. Since today is Friday, we are having class at school. Yesterday I told my pupils to wear red or pink, or white.

Early in the morning I wake up my daughter Ezra so she will be with me. We prepared in going to school so we will not be late. When we arrived at school, the pupils greeted me then give me some flowers, balloons and chocolates. There are also Valentine's card and other gifts.

I didn't expect them to give because I told them yesterday not to use their money for flowers and balloons but still they choose to give me. I told them I am happy for their surprises.

We started our morning routine before we started our summative test. We answer it together. At 9:00am they eat their morning snacks together.

After recess, I moved the table at the back because they will do cooperative activity on the floor. They make valentine cards for their parents.

I gave them one hour to make it. I told them to make it with love. I checked their works then I returned it to them so their parents can see it when they go home.

We had some talks and bonding after their card making. We had fun on this Valentine's Day. At 11:00am I dismissed them. We clean the room and take our lunch.

This day is very blessed because our principal treat us a free lunch using our canteen profit. They ordered a chicken meal in a nearest fast food store. I and Ezra eats the meal together with water.
