Week 11 Steem Memory Game Contest | Theme: Mythical Creatures - My Fun Experience
As you all know, I have been playing the Steem Memory Game since start, and honestly, I am enjoying it more and more every time. This week’s theme was Mythical Creatures, and I just loved it so much The designs were so colorful, magical, and unique that after playing a few times, I felt like I had already memorized all the creatures.

In every round, the creatures were the same, but the challenge was that they were placed in different areas on the board. While playing, I kept thinking to myself, “Oh yes, I saw that creature on the left side earlier” or “I think that one was in the lower corner.”
These small mental notes helped me a lot to match the cards faster. It really felt like my brain was working extra fsast while my hands were flipping the cards.

When I opened the app this week, I noticed again that my ID was already connected to the memory game, and my available STEEM balance was showing right therze on the screen. I really like this because it makes things easy no need to log in again, I can just start playing right away.
As usual, there were two options for me:
- Free Challenge
- Paid Challenge
I always start with the Free Challenge first because it helps me warm up and get into the flow before I move on to the paid one. It’s like my practice round where I can make small mistakes and get comfortable with the cards for the week.🌟🤗

First Game
As soon as the cards appeared, I started flipping them one by one and paying close attention to where each creature was. When I saw a card, I didn’t just look at the picture I quickly stored in my mind where it was placed on the board. For example, I would think, “Okay, this one is in the second last position in the first row” or “This one is in the bottom right corner.” Then, when its matching card appeared later, I went straight to the correct spot without wasting moves.

Second Game
In the second round, I felt a little faster. I was recognizing the creatures more quickly, and my hands moved almost automatically to flip the right pair. Sometimes I didn’t even have to think for more than a second because I had already seen that card in the first few flips and remembered its exact position.
Time: 49 sec
Moves: 22
Points: 1530

Third Game
By the third game, my confidence was high. I was not only remembering the positions but also predicting. My focus was very sharp, and my movements felt smoother. I wasn’t rushing, but I was playing with a steady, fast rhythm.
Time: 48.8 sec
Moves: 23
Points: 1521

Fourth Game
In the last free game, I slowed down just a little. Maybe I got too relaxed after the earlier fast games. I made a few extra moves here and there, but still, I kept using the same technique remembering positions like “left side,” “bottom row,” “top corner,” etc. Even though my score was a bit lower this time, I still enjoyed it.
Time: 01:03 min
Moves: 26
Points: 1476

My Paid Challenge Round
After the warm-up rounds, I was ready for the real deal the Paid Challenge. I took a deep breath, focused, and started the game. Every flip was intentional ,I didn’t waste time on random guesses. Whenever I saw a creature, I instantly remembered where I had seen its match earlier in the round and went straight for it.
When the final result appeared, I was so happy:
Time: 00:45 sec
Moves: 21
Points: 1543
Position: 2nd on Leaderboard 🎯

This week’s theme made me realize something important even when the pictures stay the same, our brain has to work hard to remember the positions every time they get shuffled. It’s a fun challenge for the mind, and it keeps me active and alert.
I’m happy with my progress, but next week, I’ll aim even higher hopefully, I can climb from second place to first 💪
