QUALITIES OF A GOOD COACH

  • COMMUNICATION:- These is one of the most important qualities a good coach should have, because communication is the key in finding out issues, with these the coach will be able to know what his or her client needs or want.

  • SETTING AN EXAMPLE:- A good coach should be able to set an example for his team or client, cause you can't have confidence in a business coqch whose business isn't growing, and also nobody would like to employ a fitness coach who is fat and doesn't exercise.
    As a coach you need to know how to inspire your team, and also show them that you are the best in what you do.

  • HONESTY:- A good coach must have an honest relationship between himself and his/her client, so that they will be able to move farward.
    Also as a good coach you must learn how to give an honest feedback about what you observe on yor client, an also to tell your client/team when your help is no longer needed.

  • NON-JUDGMENTAL:- These means that the coach fully immerse himself in what his or her client want and not imposing his own thoughts, opinions and judgements.

  • KEEPS CONFIDENTIALITY:- These simply means that a coach should be able to keep secrets, that no matter what he wont share what a client discuss with him/her to another person.
    Your client needs to trust you qnd know that you will keep all conversations.

  • COACHING SKILLS:- These are the special skills a good coach must possess.
    They are;

  • Listening skills

  • Questioning skills

  • Reporting skills

  • Building skills

  • BEING OBSERVANT:- As a coach you must reall be observant, by walking around to see what the team is doing to know whether he/she is doing it right.

CONCLUSION

Being a coach i an easy task, cause your team or your client automatically become your responsibility, and you have to do everything possible to show them that you are the best in what you do.

Thank you so much for going through my post ....God bless you all

Very educative post friend. Being observant allows you to “listen” with more than just your ears and make better decisions.
