The Closing Chapter: My Last Five Days In School

My journey through the university wasn't easy at all, being admitted for a four years course turned out to be five years due to the pandemic strike. I gained admission into the university of uyo in the year 2021. At first everything went well, my first day in school wasn't that bad but I had negative encounter with cultists on campus. Shine your eyes like we all know as a popular campus slogan. I wasn't really familiar with the areas and departments in school which eventually led me to their zone.
I met with a friend who's actually my friend till date in one of the classroom, he directed and showed me around the school. I got familiar with the offices, departments and classrooms after a little tour. The COVID 19 social distancing was still a serious issue even in the school system.

I was really flowing and doing well in school, attending classes, completing projects and submitting school fees for update. My second year wasn't that good because I didn't have a mobile phone to communicate much with my friends to know the whereabouts of the classes and meetings. It was so annoying to pay down to school with the news lectures won't hold today

The strike came in as a threat and pandemic but also as a success story for me. During the strike, I was employed as a sales boy in one of ceramics warehouse which served as a support also a channel for saving for a smartphone. After working for several months, the Government paid up teacher's salary and the strike was called off .

I got a new device which I used to start up mobile photography and videography. My start-up experience was cool because I learnt alot about grading, capturing and retouching. I got better at the skill which opened ways for clients to patronise me.

The problem started when I accepted to be a mobile photographer which got me popular, I started missing lectures because I get booked everyday. It was a problem then but a great source of income now. The device was actually a blessing for me because in my year 2 I started handling my transport fare expenses with other minor expenses.
That same mobile photography helped me pay my fees from my year 3 down to year 4. The skill really helped me through my school journey.

In school, I met with special people who helped me alot especially when I couldn't come to school due to transport issues. They all contributed for me and also run some school errands for me without asking for compensation. I showed them love fully without hating anyone of them.

About the final year brethren week
The final year brethren week is set to be a week set aside for final year students to display corporate outfit, profession, Ankara and signout. All the students planned very well to be part and parcel on those days.
The corporate Day 1
The corporate day was actually the first day of the FYB week. We all put on corporate outfits, dressing so good to mark that day. So many people were amazed to see me on corporate because jerseys have always been my outfit throughout my stay in uniuyo.

Profession Day 2

Day 2 being the profession Day actually one of my best day because it was actually sweet and more fun. So many if my friends dressed for funny and beautiful to showcase their profession and attire.

Ankara Day3

Ankara day seems to be more like cultural day for us. We all displayed beautiful Ankara styles on the day3. I and my friends got the same material and made any style of our choice out of it.

Jersey Day4

Jersey day actually one of my best days because I have alot of jerseys and it suites me more than other clothes. My friends were already ridiculing me saying I got all the club wears, that I own the show.

Signout Day5

Signout being the most awaited day of all students, it was really one of the greatest day for students. We were all waiting for that very day, we got clothes.. printer on it, got shoes and so many things in preparation for the grand finale. Early in the morning that very day, I was about anxious about how the day will be especially during this rainy season.
Immediately when I entered school, so many people started signing on my shirt. It was actually one of the greatest experience.

So many people came from far and new just to sign on shirt with great congratulations as gifts and handshakes. @kwinberry helped me take few pictures while waiting for my brother to come. It was really one of the greatest moment of my life because I received gifts alot from family and friends. Everyone came out to celebrate with me even without inviting them personally.

I want to say a big thank you to God almighty for keeping me strong throughout my stay in school, photography skills and many more. God made a way for my school fees to be paid, forever grateful.

For my friends who stood by me from day one to this final year. They helped me alot especially in my year 2 and 3 God will always make ways for them. I have really learnt alot while staying in the four walls of the school, the impact and mostly good decorum.

My mom really stood by me from day one to my final year supporting me with words, school fees and many more. My dad did his very best to see me finish successfully without suspending studies, saying a big shout to him.
