Dear Diary

Today was indeed amazing day with top notch activity which made my day overwhelming. I woke up very early in the morning today in other to be a part of today's Covenant Hour of prayer as usual.
I first observed my usual daily morning devotion, and with a heart full of gratitude to God Almighty Father the Beginning and the End, Alpha and Omega; I lifted my voice and rendered worship and praise unto the one and only True God.
I put my bathing water on electrical hot plate to make it warm moderately to use for bathing, immediately after the water got warmed I turned it inside the bathroom bathing bucket and showered with it afterwards.

Afterward I showered, brushed my teeth and dressed up and was ready to go, I left for office immediately using my bike for mobility. The harshness of the weather due to harmattan as it was few days ago where the weather was extremely very cold has started dropping and becoming convenient day by day.

Upon reaching the Church I immediately rushed up to my office and changed my clothes which were very dusty due to the ongoing road construction. Afterward I joined the Covenant Hour of Prayer (CHOP) which already in progress. I met the Covenant Hour of Prayer still on prayer session, the prayer session ended with personal intercessory prayers, followed by testimonies time, then praise, exhortation time and finally closing prayer.

Afterward I continued with my usual office daily routines, I later went down to the sanctuary for our usual staff devotion which was for 30 minutes.
I left the staff devotion to honor an invitation from Step-Up Academy to be a Judge at their Annual Cultural and Career Day.

About to go out for the Program at Step-Up Academy

On this special day the school represented by four different houses showcases different cultures in Nigeria as well as different careers. The schedule of the program is as in the picture shown below.

The four houses that participate in the competition are namely Red House, Yellow House, Green House and Blue House. Each of the houses represented a particular region of the country such as; Red house represented the Yoruba Culture, the Yellow house represented the Hausa/Fulani Culture, the Green House represented Igbo Culture, Blue House represented the Southern Kaduna Culture.

They started the competition with a general Rally where there participation and performance was also rated and scored to be added with other presentations during the program. During the program, the competition started with a match pass where there was different cultural display presented by different houses.

Also we had another session of competition which was cultural dance competition where the pupils wearing different native attires dance to different cultural music.

Also we had another session of the competition known as Career Presentation, here in the picture below we have Doctor, Nurse, Engineer and Soldier.

Another session of competition was food and testing presentation by the pupils. I couldn't snapped for all the Houses due to my phone battery which was completely off, the one in the picture below is for Yellow House. The pupils really performed wonderfully in their cooking, I wish all schools in my country would imbibed this strategy which I believe would help the pupils to be industrious at the early stage.

Also again there was a quiz competition which was also added to the overall result of the competition.

Finally at the end of all presentations, as the Chief Judge I was given the privilege to announce the results of the competition as highlighted below.

1. Yellow house ended with 91 points out of 120 points.
2. Green House ended with 98.5 points out of 120 points.
3. Blue house ended with 99.5 points out of 120 points.
4. Red House ended with 107 points out of 120 points.

The 2nd best house were awarded with gifts which are Blue and Red House, Red House came 1st while Blue came 2nd.

After the program I returned back home, on my way back I encountered a very serious traffic which made me reached home late than I should have.
Upon reaching home the first thing that I did was to take my bath so that my strength would be revived from all the day's stress, after which I ate my food which was Moimoi and stew as you can see in the picture below.

I was very tired when I returned that I couldn't do anything much afterward than to sleep.
