My take on ASIA CUP 2022 FINAL #PakvSL
10 RUNS IN 1 BALL raised a question for atheists, if they still believe there is no God?
The joy didn't last long when our cricket players got super relaxed and flexed with these 10 runs and decided to take a break for a while. The following overs should have been played so well to make the opponents unnerved but alas!
Being a true cricket fan, I am so disheartened! I had to vent!!! I love my team, I even went to see the match on big screen, ordered barbeque but because of the anxiety couldn't take more than 2 bites. Sad, no? This time, we had hopes too high, from our players because of their previous performances. They could've done it, had they practiced more and played with full zest. I feel these are the mistakes that contributed to our defeat.
Our hero, the handsome, Shadab dropped 2 very important catches, and he tweeted that he takes the responsibility. It wasn't your fault Shadab, I'm sure you were seeing 1 ball as 3 balls because of the ball hit. So it would have been so good if you had left it for Asif to take the catch. But nahh, how could he miss this opportunity to become the nation's hero, but God had some other plans.
Rizwan, I think forgot that it was a T20 match and not ODI. He didn't give damn about chasing the target, only was after his 50 runs. 10 overs felt like they were still warming up. He played so well in his previous matches that everyone had their hopes pretty high from him. A video got viral of a boy happily announcing that he will present his pupho's (aunt) proposal to Rizwan, i think this was it this was the reason. Not your fault, rizwan!
Fakhar Zaman, he was there for such a short time that we don't even remember that he was in the match. He came and he went! TUKK!
THE CAPTAIN, Babar Azam, plays a huge role in our defeat. He should have given more overs to Nawaz, who is a commendable bowler! Aggressive captaincy was needed to be seen here, he should have chosen the bowlers wisely. He gave so many overs to Iftikhar which was a bllekkkhh! Plus, what is this boy doing with his batting nowadays?
Ah well, It wont be wrong to say that Srilankan team played so well, a well practiced match. They were good in every manner be it batting, bowling or fielding. The fielding during the power-play was tremendous. They made very challenging for us in our 172-run chase and turned the screws in the last four overs. Earlier, Rajapaksa's unbeaten runs of 71 in 45 balls completely turned the tables on us. This victory was a gift for the Srilankans from their team in this time of crisis.
Now its time our players really play as a team and not as an individual. The team selection needs to be improved. The individual performance of all players must be analyzed and others should be given a chance if they fail to improvise. This ALL OUT situation is a very alarming situation for us. They need to work hard to bring our team to the top! Well the performance throughout the tournament was not so bad. this losing final has made us realize our shortcomings and where we need to work hard.
Winning the upcoming tournament is very important in many aspects, it will also help us to get recognition in the World in many countries. Our flood situation is so bad, we need more and more funds for the flood victims, recognition can help us to raise the funds.
An amazing team, whatever the result, your team has done their best. Winning is important but there will be other opportunities that will be achieved by a team that is patient and supported by good and adequate facilities. Thank you @mycupoftea ...for sharing the match trip for Softball lovers to enjoy.
Thank you so much. :))
And, I so agree with you!
Anyway, Hopes are high for the next tournament! ☆_☆
