Friend’s Valima (Reception)
hi everyone how are you all i hope you are doing well so i think i still have two more post wedding events left to attend
today was the valima reception of my university friends wedding it was a daytime event and we were all invited
by 12 oclock i started getting ready and within an hour i was all set i wore my hijab and got ready to go with my friend who picked me up from home
The banquet was about half an hour away from our house, but we didn’t know the route. Somehow, using instructions and maps, we managed to reach the hall. When we arrived, it was almost empty, and there weren’t many guests.
we even thought the bride and her twin sister werent there yet but later we went to the dressing room and saw them i met my friends the bride and even her mother in law who was very sweet
after that we came out and waited for our other friends to arrive but since it was a separate event for males and females due to islamic culture we couldnt meet our male friends
the starters were served first and we were given juices i tried the beetroot juice and apple juice both were good but a bit too sweet for my taste next they served dynamite chicken which was delicious
after a while there was an announcement that the buffet was open and the food was arranged separately for males and females which was a good arrangement we went to the buffet area where there were many food items
it was a bit confusing to decide what to take but we tried to avoid wasting food our first priority was biryani so we got that
i also took kebabs fish and chips some salad and tikka
my friend took other items like naan and curry and we shared everything to make sure we could taste all the dishes without wasting food
everything was very tasty especially the fish and kebabs at the end of the meal we had ice cream which was really good too
after lunch we went outside the banquet to meet our male friends we clicked some pictures and made a few videos together
after that we returned inside to gather our stuff to leave however the bride stopped us because she wanted a group photo with everyone
Since the bride and her twin sister observe pardah (veil), they both covered themselves properly before taking the group photo.
All the boys joined us for the group photo, and after that, we said Allah Hafiz to the bride, her family, and everyone else.
It was a very good event, and I felt blessed to attend it. Watching our university friend get married was such a happy moment.
It’s always a special feeling to see your friends start this new chapter of their lives, and this wedding was a beautiful and memorable experience.
