🌙 Yom-e-Arafah - the day when the heart is shaken

Yom-e-Arafah is not just a way, rather it is such a golden day which brings a new opportunity of repentance for every Muslim. This day falls on 9th Zilhajj, when lakhs of Hajjis gather in Maidan e Arafah with their heads bowed, hearts down, tears in their eyes and just one name on their tongues Allah. This is the same Ground where Nabi (P.B.U.H) gave his last sermon. The spirit of this day, its virtues and its blessings are incomparable.

It is heard of keeping fast on Yom-e-Arafah and its regret is so great that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“I hope Allah will forgive the sins of the past year and the coming year by keeping this fast.”

Just think, fasting for one day and Allah will forgive the sins of two years? This is just the proof of His mercy.

On this day Allah Taala himself says with pride in front of his angels in Maidan-e-Arafah:

"Look, my servants have come to me, after interfering in the garden and dust from every door, only for my please. Be a witness; I have forgiven them all."

If we remain negligent even on such a day, then we are our own enemies.

The meaning of prayer on Yom e Arafah is something else. Every word, every sentence reaches Allah directly. Even if your life is full of sins, even if your heart is broken, even if you are shaken by the loneliness of nights everything can be new in one prayer on Yom e Arafah. Cry and pray for your mother, for your father, for your children. Allah listens to everything.

Today is the day to end your resentment against someone. Ask for forgiveness from someone, forgive someone. Accept whatever has happened to you because you never know whether the next day of Arafah will be your destiny or not. Whatever is in your heart, tell it to Allah. Ask for forgiveness from Allah every moment and every breath.

Finally just one thing:

This day is not just for Hajj, it is also yours. Allah is waiting for you. Will you not go closer to Him?
