The Grand Opening of "Waveback" in Hingurakgoda

Yesterday was a very special and proud day for our family. My son and daughter-in-law opened a new clothing shop named ‘Waveback’ in my daughter’s hometown. Even though my son is a software program manager, his ambition and determination, together with his wife's unwavering support, allowed him to start this new business with our support and direction as parents. We know It takes a lot of courage and hard work, but as parents, we are proud of them for leaping.

My son received this three-story building as a dowry from his father-in-law. Therefore, they decided to start the 'waveback' clothing shop comprising with rich quality, stylish garments.
The opening occurred on March 19, 2025, at 7.48 a.m. We all wore a white T-shirt, which was prepared by my son for all in the same manner. My husband and daughter's father had the honor of cutting the ribbon covering both families. Then my son and daughter entered the shop carrying a statue of the Buddha, as is customary. After offering a Buddha puja, as mothers, we lit the traditional oil lamp, which symbolizes prosperity and good fortune.

The shop was officially opened at 9.41 a.m. by my daughter's father, a well-known businessman in the area. A lot of other businessmen were invited to this grand occasion. In addition to them, many other relatives and friends participated in this occasion for the honor of us. We treated them with a delicious dining table, comprising milk rice, cutlets, butter cake, banana, and Nescafe, to show our gratitude for them.

The ground floor and first floor were reserved for ladies' and baby clothing, while the third floor was reserved for men's clothing. The stylish collection of garments and the elegantly designed shop attract many customers from that area. Because of that, my son could gain big success on its first day.

As a gent's clothing, you can buy quality t-shirts, trousers, shirts, and underwear. when consider to other clothing shops, ours are very cheap. It is because we want to provide quality garments at favorable prices. For example, you can buy long-sleeved, stretchy t-shirts for less than Rs. 2000.00 (steem price less than 50). Like that, we sell all the gent's items for lower prices. Even though the prices are low, quality-wise they are very rich.
Ladies garments also same. We buy quality garments from Colombo; therefore, they are very stylish. Ladies who like to buy stylish garments, please try our shop. Prices are also very reasonable. You can buy a quality, stylish gown for about Rs. 3000.00 (steem price less than 75). The garments we sell for babies are also very cheap and stylish.
As parents, today we are very happy to see our children’s success. Our hearts are filled with joy as we can see their dreams are succeeding. We went there two days early to support and encourage them even though it's 200 km away from our hometown.
