According to wikihow.life, Staying fit is a great way to improve your mood and overall health. Many people struggle with staying fit over time, but the benefits of fitness definitely outweigh the costs. With some commitment and motivation, you can maintain your physical fitness for years to come! Sources
If health is wealth as a common palance which have been adjudged correctly said, how can we been healthy? What are some of things, we should be doing to stay fit? Are there benefit, we can get for maintain a healthy lifestyle? Join me as I will answer all these questions with the ways, I maintain my healthy lifestyle to be fit always.
HOW I STAY HEATHY AND FIT
It has been a huge challange for me in respect with keeping fit but thank God that i struggled to achieve that. It did not come cheap but calls for seriousness on my part in many ways. These are various things that I did to be fit always:
1 > Exercising. Exercising is the cheap thing to be fit that I engaged regularly. I did not start with heavy ones like lifting weights. No! I start with "easy" ones like walking, jogging and cycling.
I tried my best to use my legs to trekking to go to school, shop, markets and other endeavors to strengthen my bones, muscles, organs etc than to paying for transport fares always, which I can offer and willing to pay. Doing it on regular basis, have really help me a lot.
Maintaining a Balanced Diet. I avoid any junk food. Since It is one of the most important components of a fit lifestyle, but Many people ignore it. I noticed that if I exercised regularly and eat a lot of junk food, I will not still be fit but become fatter. This is because the junk food turns to fat almost immediately. Junk foods contain poor nutrition and are high in sodium and sugar. Because of this, your body sugar levels drop after consumption and you end up feeling fatigued with a major lack of energy. Here are Foods to avoid :
A) High in sugar: donuts, cakes, cookies, pudding, cereals, canned and dried fruits, and sodas.
B) High in fat: Processed meats, hydrogenated oil, and shortening.
C) Avoid foods containing artificial ingredients.
Rather to maintain a healthy and balanced diet which can increase energy and productivity, boost metabolism and make one, a happier person because he/she is consuming the nutrients and vitamins, his/her body needs.
Here are Foods that I was encouraged to eat reguraly:
A) Fresh vegetables and fruits: carrots, onions, broccoli, spinach, eggplant, melons, bananas, apples, and oranges.
B) High-protein foods: lean meat, poultry, fish, legumes, nuts and seeds (like chia and hemp), tofu, soy beans, eggs, cottage cheese, and lentils.
C) Grains: whole wheat toast, oatmeal, quinoa, and barley.
D) Foods high in fiber: cooked lentils, black beans, green peas, pears.
However, I tried to know when to eat and avoid skipping meals. Some think that they will lose weight by skipping a meal but that is very inaccurate. In addition, skipping meals can affect your energy levels.
Here are typical examples of healthy meals and snacks and when I eat them:
A) Light breakfast: eggs (I mix eggs with some vegetables like peppers, or mushrooms, etc.) with grapefruit and a piece of toast in the early morning.
B) Mid morning snack: unsweetened yogurt with berries
C) Lunch: salad with a protein (i.e. grilled chicken or turkey)
D) Afternoon snack: apple, orange, or a banana.
E) Dinner, a vegetabled stew with brown rice.
Moreover, I drink a lot of water. Since human being's body is made up of 65 to 70 % of water content and there is need to replendished the loss through various means. I check the amount of water that i take based on my need at that time and what I am doing. If I am exercising, I increase the amount of water intake to replenish what the amount that I am sweating out.
Nevertheless, I always belief in myself. I don't care what other people think. I am determined and believe that I can achieve my goal of staying fit which I have! Knowing this, have made me to feel great and strive to reach that goal everyday.
I stayed Motivated by wanting to continue on this path of fitness and health. I want to feel good, I want to look good, I want to be healthy!
CONCLUSION
There is nothing to compare with good health, so it should not be equate with anything and it should be treasured immersedly. Staying fit is a blessing that only the person itself can give to him/herself.
