Wave Beach Restaurant Benthota
Poya holiday at the middle of the week is a blessing. Isn't it? Ha haa.. Anyway, this April is full of holidays. Yesterday on Poya day Harith and I decided to meet and visit several places to check for a few items.
Eventhough we weren't planning to spend till noon, things took time. So we decided to take lunch on the way.
Today's restaurant is somewhere we were looking forward to visiting for some time. This is a new restaurant located in Benthota. We found this in Facebook first. Wave Restaurant is a beachside restaurant which is located in a very good location. It is next to Galle Road and also has a long private beach area with coconuts and watakeyya trees.
The restaurant is an open restaurant that also has seating areas on the beach side. A super relaxing atmosphere has made this place attractive.
I loved their table decoration with blue water lilies. Until we recieve the plates we walked to the nearby beach. On that day place wasn't too much crowded. Actually, those who were there spent time so relaxing with the peaceful vibe.
It didn't take too much to prepare our plate. We ordered chicken rice and cheese pasta with chicken, our favorite combo. The prices are starting from 1600 LKR which is quite higher than many other restaurants. The portion size is average but enough for one person without issue. The taste is also good, especially since their cheese pasta was super cheese.
Generally, I loved this place most importantly the calm atmosphere. Worth visiting. Service is also very good and things happen smoothly.

It's like a mini break in the middle of everything! April seems like a perfect time for those days off too. Sounds like you and Harith had a nice spontaneous outing, even if things ran longer than expected. I get how that happens—sometimes time just slips by when you’re on the move.
