Got My First Appointment

After one year of waiting period, finally we got appointment in the governement hospitals. That was a difficult period for us, since the private sector also not opening doors for us without experience and it's essential to have a good clinical exposure before entering to the private sector. Therefore we got two options as, to do an another job or staying our homes. Finally that period waiting period is over!

The procedure was very quick and we got appointments within 2 days after the choice marking for preffered hospitals. I was very busy(physically and mentally) making my mind to adjust for a totally new enviorenment, new hospital and new working place. I choose to travel from my home within the first three days and I had to left my home at 3.00 am in the morning. That was so exhausting and after multiple efforts I found a small boarding place near to the hospital. It feels like a small annex which um totally satisfied.

I was appointed to the paediatric and physical section, which I never expected to work. But one phone call after the work, from a mother who came to the morning clinic made me feel that, I have come to the right place. I do not have a first day photo even, as I was very exhasuted with travelling between health ministry and monaragala for few days for working on getting the appointments.

Finally I am working in my new hospital, adapting with new situations and people.
