Maara (2021)

"Maara" is a Tamil film released in 2021, and which happened for me to watch in 2024. It is a romantic drama film, directed by Dhililp Kumar. The lead roles are played by Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath. As I found, "Maara" is a remake of a Malayalam film released in 2015 named "Charlie". Though I missed "Charlie", I watched "Maara".

The storyline of the film plays around 'Paaru', a woman who accidentaly meets 'Maara' and him. The film starts without a clue about what is it about. But it was worth continuing. The first half of the film was questionable and slow. I was impatiently watching the rest and finally satisfied my curiosity in the last half of the film.

The film is all about love. Madhavan is a man freely living his life and Paaru is a woman who is searching for that freedom. Eventhough it looks like its their story, basically the end of the film changed that thought. Because in my head, the highlight of the film was something else. It was an emotional, but feels-good type of ending.

Overall, I loved the film and the plot, except the first half of it which made me impatient. It is a mix of different feelings along with the beautiful locations and characters in it.
