I had no idea about the existence of this game till I went to my secondary school. This game is held as a tournament for the sports meet there. My friends also joined and I suddenly got interested about the game.

I asked to buy me a setup from my parents when I was 13 and still remember that my father brought me one right after. There are letter tiles included in a small bag ,4 racks and the game board in a setup purchased from a shop.

You might have played ,heard or not being acknowledged about it at all. The game is called as "Scrabble". It is a word game that the players have to create words from letter tiles. To create new words players have to arrange the tiles in the crossword style layout. The ultimate win of the game would goes to the player who collects the highest score by creating new valid words.

I remember that there was a printed book used by my friends those who played in matches. It included a lot of valid words to memorize.

Typically, 2 to 4 players can join per match. There are 100 letter tiles in total and each letter bears a specific point value according to its rarity in English language. Each player can have 7 letter tiles at a time in their racks. After arranging a word, the player would get more new tiles from the sack to maintain 7 number of tiles on the rack.

Scrabble is a game to improve vocabulary and strategy as players have to think of new words matching the context and also new ways to arrange them for scoring higher.
