EDUCATION: THE KEY TO SUCCESS
What Is The Concept Of Education?
“Education” this is what parents desire for their children, it is what they talk about when they need to enroll their children in schools, it is what people talk about when they wish to go for a higher degree. Basically, when you hear the word “Education” the first thing that comes to mind is school, and most times that is the only thing that comes to mind but education is not Limited to the four corners of a school building, it is so much more than that.
Education can be defined as the process of acquiring knowledge, morals, skills, values and habits. Education is all about learning, and that is what people do. We learn every day of our lives, this means that education is done from the moment a person is born till he or she is dead. Children learn how to sit, crawl, walk, run and talk without even going to school. Don’t you agree that that is the only proof needed to support this claim? Therefore, education can take place anywhere, whether a formal or informal settings.
Experience is also a form of education. An experience could alter the way you think, feel or act towards a thing, person or scenario, and that is considered educational.
Why Should One Desire To Become Educated?
Personally, I think the question ought to be “why not?” Knowing what education really is all about, why would anyone deny him/herself of the opportunity? The great men of this world have praised education as it ought to be praised. Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”, John Dewey once said “Education is not the preparation for life; education is life itself”. Obviously, with education you can do amazing things in life. One without education is greatly hindered in all aspects of life.
The Importance Of Education
There are various reasons why education is to be considered important to us.
It gives us confidence
The saying “knowledge is power” is very true indeed. Education gives you the confidence you need to express yourself and do the things you ought to do. Basically, your level of education determines your level of confidence. Have you ever seen anyone with a greater level of education in a particular field ever be shy and portray less confidence in that field? Exactly what I am talking about.
It makes one self dependent
One you become educated, you realize that you can trust and depend on yourself. The knowledge you have gained becomes yours and will not be taken away from you. You begin to be financially independent as well. You begin to value yourself as a vital part of your society. Education makes you so knowledgeable that you will not be easily takes advantage of. With education, you can build goals and achieve them.
It helps one secure a higher income
Becoming well educated increases your chance for better career opportunities, as a result of this, you begin to have stability in your life. With education, it becomes possible to create even more job opportunities for others or become self employed. You begin to understand the importance of hard work.
It makes us become better people
Education teaches us so many things.
With education, we begin to understand our capabilities, we know the good from the bad, we know our rights and duties as citizens, and we also know and value our ability to make our own choices.
It helps us understand our surroundings
Education teaches us more about the world around us as a whole as well as our immediate surroundings.
We begin to understand the people around us, and how better to interact with them. We begin to look at life differently and make changes on how to improve our society. Education makes us the capable of interpreting things, we begin to develop critical and logical thinking abilities as well as problem solving skills.
This proves that education improves us in every aspect of our lives.
Success!!!
Success is not merely the accumulation of wealth, it is much more than that, it is the achievement of certain goals and desired visions to fulfill life.
Really though, who doesn’t want to be successful? Who wouldn’t want things to go as planned in their lives? Certainly not me. Life becomes more satisfying and fulfilling to you when you succeed in whatever you set out to accomplish.
Why You Should Desire To Succeed
Success provides confidence in a person. Ever saw a successful person that is less confident? Now you get me. Success gives way to more goal, more achievements and more success. Whenever some one succeeds in a thing, it could be life, a company, goal or anything, that person gains more experience and knowledge and goes further to make even more goals to achieve. The person becomes even more confident in him/herself and does his/her hardest to succeed in that one. Why do you think successful people are not known for just one thing? They instead go into another project and try to succeed on that too.
Education Guarantees Success
“Education is the key to success” this is what most say, yet, there are some that argue against this fact for reasons unknown to me. Knowing what education is, this fact should not be refuted. As we know, education makes causes one to be aware of the world, immediate surroundings and how to understand and relate with people. Once you have knowledge of your strengths and weakness, you begin to understand yourself better, and that helps you in the long run.
No matter the hard work, without education on your side, all the hard work in the world will not yield the desired results. Education, without a doubts, lessens the challenges on may encounter on the road to success. Education provides direction to the right thoughts and decisions regardless of the situation one may find him/herself in. Education causes us to stay informed at all times, this is because we begin to understand the dangers of staying ignorant and deprived of valuable information which will definitely be a hindrance to our success.
To be honest, we live in such a competitive world, and it gets more brutal and competitive each day that anyone found lacking is considered weak and unsuitable and the educational aspect keeps evolving each day, there are so many skills to learn and goals to attain. The right question to ask is “Why would I wish to be left out and be found wanting?”
Best Regards
God willing, you have celebrated your son's birthday in a very good way and made it a memorable day for him.
Academic education broadens your vision of the world, provides you with cultural tools that allow you to function in a specific field. It gives you notions about life and allows you to express yourself better linguistically. However, the question is: how necessary is academic education? which areas can be better covered by shorter apprenticeships and which can be better remunerated? is medium-term learning less effective?
