Off to Dubai – Day 01 Part 01

Today I thought of sharing with you one of my favorite memories with you. Last year I went to visit my husband’s place in Abu Dhabi. I have shared with you that experience via my previous article. So, today I thought of sharing with you another short journey of that visit.

Though we have a plan to visit Dubai we were not supposed spent more than 1 day there. But we have a chance to stay there for 4 days. My husband’s friend arranged that stay for us. Before sharing that experience with you, I would like to thank her first. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to collect those memories.

We went to Dubai with some other friends of my husband’s. When considering the distance from our place Shabia 10 to Dubai, has more than 110 Km. As I remember it took nearly 2 hours. Their infrastructure facilities are superb. There are 4 lanes for one side and each lane has a speed limit.

As our friend’s suggestion first, we went to Ibn Battuta Mall and parked our vehicles. It was a huge park and sometimes I thought that we would forget the place where we parked our vehicle. We thought that it would be easier for us to travel to the world-famous Dubai Mall. Because from this place onwards it is very difficult to find roads. Actually, I have never seen that much of complex road structures. When considering the buildings, roads and everything here is too big and too large than ours. Since there is a metro station here, we took a metro and traveled to our first destination.

It was my second experience of traveling by metro. I have previously travel in a metro when I went to Singapore. My favorite part of this metro travel is the given announcement in the metro. It is still in my mind. We came to Dubai metro station. There was an inside walking path to the Dubai mall from this metro station. It is a crowded place. We walked towards the path. Actually, it is a long walking path. Dubai mall is the largest shopping mall in Dubai and having lots of shops in side there. Lots of branded shops were there. Food shops like cakes, caffes, ice cream and many more. Lots of luxury shops were there. Electronic shops, clothing shops, toys shops, house items, baby item shops, shoes, and many branded items were there. Actually, most of them really expensive.

Not only that, but the structure of this building is also very beautiful. As I heard this place has an aquarium also. We didn’t able to go there. Actually, we cannot cover this place within one day. I like everything in this mall even the smell also. We didn’t buy anything as I said everything was really expensive and also, we had a save our money since we have another 3 days to stay in Dubai.

After visiting 2 or 3 floors we again came to the metro station and took a metro again to Ibn Battuta mall since we need to take our vehicles again and continue our travel. So, our friends travel to Sharjah since they had separate plans. We drove towards our hotel and kept the thoughts of coming to this place again at night to see the water show in this place. I will share with you that experience another day. I must say it was a beautiful day in my life. Even a beautiful memory to remind again and again.
