If you ever wanted to start programming but don't know where to start, you could start easily with Python. But why? Why choose Python over for example C++ or Java?

Why should You start learning Python?

  • It's super easy to learn. With its simple syntax, Python is a very user-friendly programming language and therefore a good choice for beginners.
  • Cross-Platform: You can run Python code on nearly any Platform. No matter if it's Linux, Windows or macOS, Python will run on it. With some third-party software, you can run it even on android.
  • Versatility: You can use Python in nearly every imaginable scenario. You can use Python for data science, game development, machine learning, frontend and backend development, automation, cybersecurity and that's only some points to mention here.
  • Python has a greater Community. It's one of the most popular languages on GitHub and also on StackOverflow there's a fast-growing community. So whenever you need help or you have some mysterious issues, you will always find some who will help you
  • Python not only has a great Standard Library but also over 100,000 third-party libraries you can use to build your projects.
  • If it's only money that matters for you: The salary of Python engineers is higher than most of the other programming languages.

Now you've got a little insight into why you should learn Python and start programming with Python.
Of course, there are many more reasons to mention but those are one of the most important ones.

I do agree with @rost01 python is an amazing language however when you have a background in Java or C++, the trying Python will feel a bit weird at first but its a fun language to learn.
