RE: 👍 Weekly Downvote Compensation Post - Target: $33.99
I never want to know how my account is doing. If I have to check everything, it won't be good for me because I easily start digging or searching for answers, which in most cases only confirms what I already knew. It feels like a waste of time. I prefer to do what I like most and if people join me that's fine if not it's fine too.
I never looked at the dots... I know I once checked as Italy said I was downvoted. I couldn't find that back, which I know I did find strange. Can be I had a look at steemworld.org, but for sure, underneath where you can see who upvoted and I didn't see the minus + name which I found weird. Shouldn't it show with a downvote?
I had a chat with claudia as she said someone was spamming or something, but if I remember well, it is made undone. The thing about self-voting I find hard. If one works with more than 1 account, a self vote is never in it, which at times sounds odd to me since it is acceptable to upvote others with all my accounts. No one complains about that.
I hope a solution will be found. A community where the attacked can post to at least be rewarded (compensated) might be a help, especially if the downvoting stops after a certain time like also happened after the hardfork (everyone was downvoted who wanted to have a look at Hive and also the ones with SBI).
A community like this might be a way to make visible what happens.
It's just a thought, but is there a way that if an account is muted also the option of giving an upvote/downvote is impossible just like commenting? Blocking someone should mean something (not that I am not happy with not being able to see certain steemians even if others still see the messages).
There's a mute option, but not a block option.
Anyway, the mute option doesn't work like it does on other networks. If I mute someone, for example, it prevents me from seeing them, but it doesn't prevent that user from seeing me. It's supposed to work so they can't see me either, but it doesn't.
Muting works best in communities. If I mute someone in a community, that user can't post or comment, but they can see the posts and can also vote or downvote.
In any case, it would be a good idea to be able to block users who are harmful to us, and for the blocking to be bidirectional.
I hope this can be realized since this way it's pointless although it helps to remain peace of mind and avoids to be spammed with negative energy.
A happy Friday!
