RE: ❓Steemit Quiz 2025 - Weeks 15/16/17
Question 5
🔢 Mathematical Sports ⚽
What mathematical equation can connect the following English Premier League Champions?
Blackburn Rovers
Leicester City
Liverpool
Arsenal
Chelsea
Man City
Man Utd
Fn = Fn-1 + Fn-2
Number of times these champions won makes a Fibonacci sequence.
✅ Correct! Following Liverpool clinching the league title last weekend and securing their 2nd title of the Premier League era, they've completed the Fibonacci sequence!
@chriddi was close, but the AI let her down. You have secured the point for NO team 🙂
I don't know why she chose to check AI first but not Wikipedia. 😀
I read somewhere she's on holiday so I had to step in and secure the point for our team.
She thought it was easier on mobile to ask the AI a question than to look up every single club on the Wiki. Of course, the question had to be shortened and simplified - after all, it’s pretty clear no formula is going to be spit out by an AI checked by the gorilla... 😉
Thanks for the team point... 🤗
Well, let's say RL made her stop thinking and researching further on... ;-)
It's a very good feeling to be able to rely on a team... :-))
It has a tendency to get in the way doesn't it 😉
Although for most people, it's the AI that stops them from thinking!

The tendency doesn't feel bad... 😉
Argh, don't change my good mood this Sunday...

Glad to hear you're in good spirits 🙂 I've taken the boys to cricket this morning and have been invited to the park this afternoon. I don't want to go but it's somebody's birthday and they'll be sad if I don't. I'm tired.

f(x) = mx + b?
f(x) is the league position (lower is better).
x is the investment amount.
m shows how the investment improves the position (negative slope meaning more money = better results).
b is the starting position before the investment.
That is to say these clubs won the Premier League title after receiving significant investment (which of course isn't entirely accurate...)
Honestly, I have no idea 🥲
🙂 event-horizon has got it correct. The league titles for each club, when ordered smallest to largest forms the Fibonacci Sequence.
Haha, I had absolutely no idea where to start. So I first asked the AI how often the teams had become champions. As you know, I don't trust blindly and consulted a second AI. Haha, you see, that alone doesn't get you anywhere... 😂
So I better should wait until I get home and MIGHT sit down at the computer tonight... 😉
Well, it would appear that AI doesn't know how many times each team has won the Premier League 🤣
It looks like the 1st AI hasn't been updated since 2023 (is that the original ChatGPT year?) The AIs agree up until the end of that season!
I have long hated AI (in this public form offered to everyone) and am very apprehensive about the development. Simply because there are far too many people who rely on it. And there are just as many people who switch off their thinking and reasoning as soon as it says ‘BUT the AI has said...’
