I've been full on with Steem Atlas this past week so couldn't keep up with the quizzes but happy (and surprised) to be hanging on to second place.

That's understandable, is it going well?
There were a few questions that I thought "pennsif will get this"!
Yes it is going very well thanks. Better than expected.
Many people posting, and many people giving great ideas for further developments.
Rather stretching our resources at the moment but it will be great if we can develop it enough to take to the outside world and attract new people to Steem.
I'm pleased to hear it. It's a great site so deserves to do well!
I definitely need to add my Travel posts to it. I just need a block of time without distractions to get it done!
I wonder what the hook to the outside world is...
I have friends who love travelling and they keep a map of the world on display with pins in all of the places they've visited. Perhaps something along these lines could work really well, where each user can log their travels and be able to filter the map just their pins / places they've visited?
These logs are stored on the Blockchain and the pin becomes more than just a point and a memory - it becomes a story.
I can think of a few people that this would appeal to.
I will look forward to your travel posts. You could do posts for all the football grounds you have visited as well...
Finding the right hook for the outside world will be key.
I think the 'personal' nature of the information on the site sets it apart from the more normal tourism / TripAdvisor type content.
There is still much to be explored and much to be nurtured on the site.
Steem does present a unique opportunity for (guided) content creation - I am not sure there are many other sites that can offer up anything similar.
For the existing content creators on Steem, Steem Atlas presents an ideal opportunity to create 'content with purpose' - something lacking for much of the platform's output.
One new feature that we are just debugging at the moment is the search by author - this will display all the posts from an individual user. This can be a useful stepping stone to more elaborate curated outputs.
I agree. Whilst I was commenting, I was trying to think "What would appeal to the people I know". My thoughts went to TripAdvisor but would Steem Atlas benefit from lots of short-form reviews? In my opinion, no.
That's when I thought about what would appeal to some of my more "traveller" friends that I've got and the "pins in maps" feels like the perfect fit. And it sound like the feature that you're currently testing aligns with this nicely.
Well.. the current purpose of most activity is sadly all too obvious. It just doesn't align with what we'd like Steemit to be!
That's a good idea with my Away Days posts. I'll update a few now and see if I'm successful.
Thanks for adding all your posts - keep them coming.
I've added a pin to this post.
IGNORE: How will I know if I've done it correctly? I used my post title for the pin name.
Ah, beautiful...
