Question 2

🤽‍♂️ Sports 🏊‍♂️

This 27-meter dive received a zero score. Could you specify what was wrong with this dive?

(This particular move is prohibited in the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series.)

Hint:
A dive is judged based on three key elements:

1.Takeoff
2.Air position
3.Water entry

The answer is basically already there, but I want the specifics. One of these elements is the one you all overlooked.

Nice question. 👍
I would guess that it has something to do with his legs. Just before diving in, he didn't have his legs together and even bent one leg.

That's not it, but you're nearly (just a bit🤏) there. Just the wrong body part. The clue for the prohibited move is in the question itself.

The dive looks spectacular! However, the zero score most likely results from performing a prohibited “flying” dive, including a full somersault. That’s dangerous and therefore cannot be scored.

Almost spectacular... It's a failed dive. The flying dive with a somersault aren’t actually prohibited. There’s one particular detail that makes this dive a definite no-go under Red Bull rules.

The clue for the prohibited move is in the question itself.

Hm. I found out that 27 metres is quite a common height for Red Bull events (platform heights vary between 26.5 and 28 metres depending on the venue).
Unfortunately, I don't have any more ideas (not in relation to the question itself). And I also don't feel like watching the video over and over again... 😂

Speaking of Catholics: the Pope died today. I have to admit that I am deeply touched by this.

Yes, and the clue was in relation to the prohibited move. Anyway, I gave a hint. Watching the video once was actually enough though 😆

I kind of expected it, he was already sick and his health was failing... but honestly, I don't feel anything.

He did not jump in a „diving position“ but put his feet first. So he should have gone into the water with the feet?

✅ I'll accept that answer. You sort of nailed the idea.

The zero score in the 27-meter dive was due to a head-first landing, which is strictly prohibited in men's high diving (27m) under Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, due to safety regulations.

So, yes. He should've gone into the water with the feet. Thankfully, the diver wasn't hurt but he was out of the competition. This event happened only recently though in El Nido, Palawan 😎

I'll accept that answer

Very good question!
If you don't know anything about cliff diving, it's almost impossible to solve without clues.
What if we had a cliff diving expert among us?
Oh, I shouldn't make the fun too complicated - it was fun, excellent question, thanks!

At least we learned something about cliff diving 🙂That was my goal.

Is it because he jumped? Or jumped too high? If the clue's in the question, then maybe the 27m dive wasn't 27m because of the extra elevation?

Is that one answer or 3? Or 4 now? Or 6?

Doesn't matter. All your answers are wrong 😆 I gave a hint.

You went too far 😂
