Good question... It could actually become a problem. First and foremost they get hay (there's enough of it to buy, last year the harvest was good), but my pets don't like that in summer and I also have to buy the hay and have it delivered.
The six bucks are currently wandering from one neighbouring farmer's meadow to the next. For a few days and only six animals, most of them even appreciate it. I have to bring them in the morning and pick them up in the evening.
I may even have found a meadow for the girls that won't be worked this year. For a few days... Then our meadow can recover a little until it rains and the animals won't keep moaning... ;-)
