Excited about the possibilities of Blockchain games.

Over the last several years, I have dibble in investing in cryptocurrency. Buying BTC, earning crypto from Coinbase for watching a few videos of new crypto being added to the platform, and even made money from buying and selling last year BAT, the token for the Brave browser.

Since the pandemic and losing my income, I have to reevaluate how the world is changing. From reading an article on the blockchain space and gaming, I came across this blockchain game loosely on the game Monopoly, where real-world physical address could be bought and sold as digital assets. The virtual community is called Upland.

After playing the game for over a month, I have invested over $2,000.00 in the game. I say investment because I believe in the potential of these digital assets. I also believe, over time, there will be a growing popularity of mainstream consumers becoming hooked on the idea of virtual real estate.

The game creator have created in-game cryptocurrency tokens called UPX. In the world of Upland, digital assets of real estate can be traded between players. What also appealed to me was the idea of earning UPX daily based on the value of the real estate you held.

Since the game is in its beta stage, property in the SanFranscisco can only be bought and traded. However, the development of the game is moving very fast. Recently, the creators of the game opened up New York City's J.F.K. airport terminal for sale.
