Frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis is a disorder where the shoulder becomes excessively rigid and painful making it impossible to move. Over time the tissues around the shoulder joint tighten and become harder which inhibits movement and generates a frozen feeling. It may take months or even years to fully recover from this which often develops slowly. The three stages of frozen shoulder are usually freezing, frozen and thawing. Shoulder movement becomes increasingly restricted and uncomfortable during the freezing stage. Tightness is at its height during the frozen period, making even easy chores challenging.

While recuperation can still be slow movement gradually gets better during the thawing period. In order to assist release the shoulder treatment often consists of heat therapy, mild exercises and occasionally physical therapy. Heat facilitates muscular relaxation which makes it simpler to extend without too much pain. For extreme situations doctors could offer drugs or injections to decrease pain. Many people can regain enough shoulder mobility for daily duties with time and consistent treatment.

How would you diagnose a frozen shoulder? Any clinical investigation or assessment tests?

I often begin by performing a basic physical examination to determine how well my shoulder can move in order to identify frozen shoulder. I try moving my shoulder in various directions such as stretching out to the side or lifting it up very slowly and softly. This gives me a better understanding of what happening with my shoulder by enabling me to feel where the pain or stiffness might be. Checking my shoulder range of motion before it becomes too painful or stiff is the next stage. I can determine whether some directions are more restricted than others by testing each movement.

This range of motion test demonstrates how much my mobility and day to day activities are being impacted by my frozen shoulder. In certain situations a physician may recommend further diagnostics such as an MRI or X-ray to rule out other issues and obtain a clear picture of the shoulder joint. However I can typically determine whether I have a frozen shoulder just by looking at how my shoulder moves and where the pain is. These tests aid in diagnosis confirmation and facilitate therapy planning.

Try to practice at least 3 exercises that you have learned from the lesson. Share images, gifs or videos while practising.

The first thing I did was the Wand Shoulder Flexion. I accomplish this by slowly raising and lowering my arms while holding a stick in both palms. If one shoulder is more rigid than the other, this exercise helps increase the range of motion in that shoulder. For easier mobility and mild stretching I can raise the injured arm with my strong arm.

IMG_20241030_070335_654.jpg

I then performed shoulder circles which are a fantastic way to maintain the activity of your shoulder muscles. I move my shoulders forward and backward in little circles. By strengthening the muscles these circles assist avoid their weakening which can occur if they are not used frequently. Although it is a simple workout it helps me maintain my shoulder flexibility.

Scapula Retraction was my final attempt. Pulling the shoulder is the main goal of this exercise.blades softly toward one another promoting good posture and shoulder stability. It helps engage the muscles surrounding the shoulder blades and feels like a slight pressure in the upper back. Shoulder strength and improved mobility can be achieved with this exercise.

Share your review after performing these exercises either on healthy individual or patient.

After giving these exercises a try I found that they significantly enhance shoulder mobility and lessen stiffness in both healthy and shoulder-problematic individuals. Over time, the shoulder will feel more flexible thanks to the mild stretching provided by the Wand Shoulder Flexion. Because the unaffected hand may help with the stretch it is especially beneficial for people who have limited shoulder motion. Simple yet efficient are the Shoulder Circles. Making circular motions with the shoulders keeps the muscles engaged and keeps them from weakening. A balanced stretch that strengthens and relaxes the shoulder muscles is achieved by performing both forward and backward circles.

Shoulder stiffness can be avoided and recovered from using this workout. Last but not least Scapula Retraction emphasizes the stability and strength of the shoulder blades. By removing the bringing the shoulder blades together it improves posture and shoulder control in general. For shoulder support I found it useful especially for people who are uncomfortable. All things considered these workouts are mild yet efficient methods to increase shoulder strength and flexibility.

Note: All the pictures I mention are my own property.

Observations

Task 1 (2.7/3)
You have share a good knowledge about frozen shoulder, it's second name and also elaborate the stages of frozen shoulder. But you can also add the phases of frozen shoulder that has been skipped by most of the students till now. But I appreciate your efforts.

Task 2 (2.5/3)
In the second question, you have write about the general assessment of your shoulder, also add investigations that we can do for diagnosis of frozen shoulder. But you can add one or 2 special tests name that we perform in physical therapy to complete the diagnosis.

Task 3 (2.5/4)
You have try 3 exercises but you add the pictures in wrong position. Secondly I asked you to perform these exercises on your own but you add pics of a kid next time try to perform these exercises by yourself. Lastly you have to make a gif or small video you make the correct positions but forget to add the final positions that we should make while performing exercises. I appreciate your efforts bht you can do it better. Remember always apply heating pad before performing these exercises. I appreciate your efforts.

Overall you made a better attempt to answer all the questions except question 3. Please keep in mind the above written suggestions to get good grade next time. Better try next time. I appreciate your efforts. Keep learning and try to implement your knowledge to the people suffering from any shoulder pathology. Thank you.

Great post! Your ideas about the importance of physical exercise are really inspiring. Good luck for the contest.

@neelofar dear sister,
You have given a very nice detailed description of the topic of frozen solder and in detail you have presented each exercise very nicely and chose a cute baby as a model. Currently, frozen solder disease occurs mostly in girls, women. Because we keep ourselves so busy with household chores, never take care of ourselves. Thinking about everyone in the family, I don't notice that I suffer from various diseases.I like your writing on this topic and wish you progress in this challenge.
