Stories, learnings and reflection #10/(An Incident That Changed My Perspective on Honesty)
Hello everyone On this occasion I would like to participate in a contest held by @alexanderpeace about Contest and results: Stories, Learning and reflection #10. Here is my previous entry I would like to invite my friends @davidmarkgeorge @strawberrry @bonaventure24 to participate in this contest
A few years ago, I experienced an incident that still sticks with me to this day. The incident not only taught me a valuable lesson about honesty, but also about how the world still has good people who can be role models.
It all started when I took a long trip using an intercity bus.Since attendance at the family function was mandatory and it was in a different city, about a five hour trip. Upon exiting the bus at my terminal stop, I immediately knew my wallet hadn´t been on me. ABviously, I digested last time that I left it at the bus seat when I thought of when I had It.
Panic began to creep in. The wallet not only contained quite a lot of cash, but also my ID card, ATM card, and several other important documents. I immediately looked for information about the bus I was on and tried to contact the terminal management. Unfortunately, the bus had already continued on its next route.
Finally I give up on the wallet is no longer coming back. But a few hours later I got a call from a number I did not recognize. He asked if I was still at the terminal or had already gone to my destination. Full of hope, I explained my whereabouts, and the man offered to deliver my wallet back.
Not long after, he arrived on a motorbike. I immediately recognized my wallet in his hands. With great gratitude, I checked its contents and was surprised—everything was still intact. No money was missing, not a single card had been taken. The voice was that of a woman who had found my wallet on the bus seat where I scribbled a contact number inside. I said something like 'Here take this and thank you so much, then he shook his head no with a huge smile.
I mention once i have lost something dear to me and someone give it back. I simply said, “I have lost something precious before and someone brought it back as well”. It was just because I was passing on the kindness.
A few take-aways that I learned from this instance.
First, That honesty still exists in this world and there are still good people out there who care without expectation. Second, the need to have important stuff marked with contact information so you know right away if it does get lost. Third, that kindness can be a chain — someone does something good for me and then I feel like I have too.

Greetings! @ zulbahri, Thank you for being part of the community, participating in our community and sharing your quality content with us. A great story you’ve told. The truth is that that there are still some honest people out there but they are very few. I’ve found someone’s wallet before and had returned it. While I had lost mine but it was never returned. Whether we would find our lost items or not, It all boils down to the type of person that happens to come across our lost items.

Nothing is impossible in this world. Inspite of how nature seems to bend certain individuals, don't be cashed out with this belief. There are still more genuine people around the globe. So God actually used the person in the first scene to prove to you that no matter where you fix yourself, there are yet to be more profound individuals that could be trusted. So thank God you found your wallets. Congrats
Thank you very much for comment
