One lively afternoon, I broke my fast with my coworkers who are like family. We take turns every year in organizing an iftar event together at the house of one of us. This year it was Helmi's turn to be visited, in his simple house we gathered together, bringing along our children, which of course made the atmosphere even more boisterous and festive.

Arriving at Helmi's house, we were greeted by the appetizing aroma of food. There was kebuli rice, satay, and sweet takjil that had been prepared very carefully. However, our attention was immediately drawn to the children who couldn't wait to play. They were running around with excitement, carrying various toys that they had brought from their homes. Toy cars, dolls, and giant puzzles, the children were lost in their own imaginations.

We adults started chatting as we waited to enjoy the meal, but we couldn't help but laugh at the children who were getting more and more active. I smiled as I said, "They seem tireless, huh? Like a machine that never stops." We laughed together. The moment of breaking the fast felt warmer with their cheerful presence.

Time passed quickly, and before we knew it, the maghrib call to prayer had finally sounded. We all stopped for a moment to pray and then break our fast. After that, we started taking the food one by one, sitting in an oval formation on the mat. The children were also eagerly waiting, although they were more interested in the snacks and takjil, such as banana compote and dates. While eating, we continued to chat, joke and laugh about various things. There were funny stories from the office, vacation plans, and unique experiences during Ramadan.

After breaking our fast, we took turns performing Maghrib prayers, while the children continue their play. They ran around the television room, chase a ball, or play hide-and-seek. Sometimes they shout for joy, other times they shout for their toys which leads to a little crying.

Eventually, fatigue began to show on the children's faces. Some of them started to sit on their parents' laps. We felt happy because this iftar event was not just a moment to eat together, but also a place of friendship that brings happiness to all.

As the night wore on with the photo session still in progress, we all certainly thanked Allah for being given the opportunity to experience this warmth-creating togetherness, which will become unforgettable memories, full of stories and laughter.
