SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 35
We just finished our potato harvest. We harvested three plots of potatoes in three stages. We used laborers to bring the potatoes from the first two stages from the field to the road and it took us much longer than planned to finish the work. This resulted in extra wages and more laborers.
This photo of mine today is one of my favorite photos of the day. After harvesting our third plot of potatoes, we used a motorized freight car to bring the potatoes to the side of the road. Our time and labor costs for carrying potatoes from the third plot to the side of the road have been greatly reduced. This is an important example of mechanization in agriculture, which has reduced the cost of production for farmers.
This film is more important to me because during the current month of Ramadan, it was difficult for us to carry these 70 kg bags on our shoulders and 300 meters to the road while fasting all day, hungry and thirsty. The development of technology to make this work easier for us has given us peace of mind and reduced time and cost.
We only lifted the potatoes from the ground and filled them in bags and sewed the bags, and the rest of the work was done by the trolley boys loading the bags into the cart. We hired 4 carts to carry our agricultural produce from the field to our homes and they did the work so quickly that our work was completed before the scheduled time and we were able to return home to take a bath and break our fast before iftar.
The film depicts the hard work of agricultural workers, the use of technology and the simplification of agricultural work. The touch of such technology is increasing our agricultural production and reducing the labor shortage and giving us the opportunity to complete the work quickly. The agricultural economy is growing due to the touch of modern technology.
