Did you know? This is the same horse five years apart???. As the grow older, the change colour. The name of this breed of horse is called PERCHERONS.
Horses possess a vast range of coat colour, most horses maintain the same coat through out their life span while breed like the

change their coat colour as the grow. The coat colour of horses is an interesting topic as breeders of horse and scientists find the colour change in this particular horse amazing. The factor which is responsible for the coat colour all horses is called the Equine coat colour. This factor is controlled by the interaction between two genes melonocortin Receptor (MCIR) and Agouti signaling protein(ASIP).
Normally, percherons have black or bay Coat colour at the early stage of it life span. As years passes the dark coat begin to get grey. Each percheron start greying at their own time. Due to this the entire horse turns grey that it look like white.

PERCHERONS
Percheron where first found in the France Normandy province. They are breeds of war horses, also draft with muscular strong body structure. Not much is known about that breed origin but according to research, expert believe that the first percherons might have been crossed between the Hardy Barb horses of the Moors and large Flemish draft breeds. It height about 60 to 90 inches and weight about 1900 to 2700 pounds.
PERCHERONS are herbivores horses like other Breed of horses and normally eat two times more than an average sized horse. It feeds on 30 pounds of hay and 5 pound of grain a day. The life span is between 30 to 40 years, while the life span of other horses is around 18 to 20 years. The male percherons are called STALLIONS, the female are called MARES while baby percherons is called PERCHERONS FOAL.
