What do you mean by house wiring?
Electrical wiring is the planning and installation of an electrical network of cables and other support devices to control and distribute electricity to various devices and sockets in a building.
The main essence of running an electrical wiring is to ensure that devices located in all parts of the building have power supply that is reliable and safe, powering and providing power to fans, bulbs, chandeliers, switches, sockets, equipment, and other devices.
Mention the name and function of the materials mentioned in the picture. Mention their requirements in house wiring.
Lamp holder
This is a mechanical socket designed to hold an electric bulb in place such that it makes contact and receives electrical power. We have the screw-in type and the pin-based type.
Function of lamp holder:
Ensure proper electrical contact and voltage rating for the connected lamp or bulb.
It provides a safe and secure connection between the bulb and the power source.
It allows for an easy installation and replacement of electric bulbs.
Switch
Electrical switches are mechanical devices that are used to control the flow of electrical current to a circuit or device by opening or closing the circuit. Some are designed to redirect the flow of electricity.
An electrical switch typically consists of metal parts that touch or separate to control the flow of electricity. A mechanism that moves the contacts, such as a toggle, button, or rocker. Followed by terminal points where the switch connects to the electrical circuit.
Socket
Sockets are electrical outlets that allow a plug to safely connect to access and tap electrical power.
That's absolutely correct!
Functions of a socket
The standard socket provides a connection point for a specific plug type, allowing you to tap into the electrical power supply. Safe electrical connection is another key function of a socket, protecting users from electrical shock while allowing connected devices to tap power, run, or get recharged.
Fuse
A fuse is a security protocol that will rather self-destruct to protect a circuit from getting dangerously high voltage that could damage components or cause a fire.
The fuse monitors the current in the circuit, and would self-distruct when the current rises to a specified point.
Plug
A plug is an interface that fits into a socket to tap power, thereby creating connectivity. Its main function is to create a connection and make the connection safe while allowing power to be transmitted.
Neon tester
A neon tester is used as a screwdriver and as a test device when installing and running an electrical wiring task.
Backbox
This boxes are used at junctions and spots where a socket would be mounted. It makes

What kind of wiring has been done in your home? Mention five advantages of this wiring.
Write the advantages of earthing or grounding. At least three.
The wiring in my house uses a PVC in-wall conduit. Polyvinyl Chloride plastic guids the wiring cables through the concrete walls to diffrent parts of the building. The PVC provides corrosion resistance, suitable for harsh environments. Having the wires in the walls protects it from mechanical damage.
Advantage of a PVC in-wall conduit
- The PVC protects the wires against corrosion
- The PVC is also lightweight making it easy to bend and twist as it directs the wires to various locations.
- the technician can easily carry and manipulate the PVC.
- Having the PVC in the wall protects the cable from illegal taping and mechanical damage.
- The PVC is less expensive when compared to other materials.
The advantages of earthing or grounding
Proper grounding protects the building and its occupants against lightning strikes. Providing a safe path for electricity to get neutralized by the ground.
Grounding is a key component of equipment protection strategies. Earthing helps prevent damage from spikes and surges.
When surges and spikes are removed by earthing, we get better power quality.
Earting makes a system more reliable.

Connect the switchboard as per the given diagram and show a load handling (Lamp/Fan). Consistent clear details should be mentioned.
Load handling is an electrical wiring system's ability to safely and efficiently supply power to different electrical loads and sockets, lights, appliances, and equipment.
This will require the installation of protective systems like fuses, proper wire grades and sockets for a safe, efficient, and reliable electrical system.

Mention the precautions you take while doing electrical wiring. Why is it important to be careful in electrical work? (Write in your own language)
- Switching off the power supply to isolate the house before before starting the installation work.
- Putting on protective gears to privent electrical shock.
- Use tools that are in good working condition
- Follow wiring diagram is a essential to getting a successful work done
