Overview:

The process of drawing a face can be very difficult and time-consuming, but I find that it's the most important part of any portrait. I have created a step-by-step guide on creating the oval at the bottom of the face, drawing in the facial features, and adding hair and shading. I decided to create a drawing that could be easy and quick to replicate but still looked good. A lot of the time, there is a lot of talk about drawing portraits, but much less talk about drawing a face. Having a head, face, and hair is an important part of a portrait. I am confident that with this guide, you can create beautiful head and face drawings of your own!
