Today marks a significant moment of pride for all Indians. A month ago, a tragic incident occurred when terrorists took the lives of 27 innocent tourists in Pahalgam.
In response to this grave event, our esteemed Prime Minister inaugurated the Chenab Railway Arch Bridge, along with the Vande Bharat train and the Anji Khad Bridge, just one month following Operation Sindoor.
I would like to draw attention to the Chenab Railway Arch Bridge;
which stands as a remarkable engineering achievement. It surpasses the height of the Eiffel Tower;
and is recognised as the highest railway arch bridge in the world. Moreover, it is designed to withstand earthquakes of up to 8 on the Richter scale, highlighting its resilience and safety features.
The innovative engineering techniques employed in the construction of this bridge not only render it a historic landmark but also a source of pride for all Indians.
Additionally, I would like to discuss the Vande Bharat train and its defining characteristics. This train has been specifically engineered to accommodate the climatic conditions of Jammu and Kashmir. Passengers will find that the interior climate of the train remains comfortable, even amidst the region’s harsh winter temperatures.
Historically, the inhabitants of Jammu and Kashmir have faced challenges due to heavy snowfall, often resulting in delays while waiting for roadways to be cleared.
The introduction of this train service aims to alleviate such issues, providing a more efficient means of transportation in the region.
The recent advancements in our transportation infrastructure will enable individuals to access various locations not only promptly but also without the hindrance of snow. The newly established train service connecting Kashmir to Kanyakumari represents a significant achievement.
Today, I reaffirmed that time and patience serve as the most effective teachers in our lives.
Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Anji Khad Bridge, which stands as the first cable-stayed rail link bridge in Jammu and Kashmir.
I experienced firsthand the impressive capabilities of our engineers in developing modern infrastructure. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that Tata continues to play a critical role in the manufacturing of our nation’s fighter aircraft, as well as supplying to foreign nations.
It is evident that terrorism and unethical practices invariably lead to destruction. In my work focused on anti-terrorism, I maintain that peace and harmony are fundamental to achieving success.
