The October contest #1 by sduttaskitchen|How do you glance towards the word disability?
Greeting to all my steemit friends.
How are you my friends? I hope you are all well.I am also fine with the blessings of Allah Subhan -o-Ta'alla. Today, I am here again being a part of this knowledgeable contest organized by @sduttaskitchen.
Friends, I have been wanting to write on this topic for a long time, and today respected madam @sduttaskitchen gave me the opportunity.
🌸 How do you glance towards the word disability? Describe.
Eleven or twelve years ago, I also used to look at every disabled person with an ordinary eye, but after some time, I came to know that although we are ordinary, they are very special. They say that whoever touches them, they will not go to the same place.
When I came to know that my son is autistic, believe me, I did not even have the illusion that there was such a disease in the world. I had never seen or heard of it.
According to me, disability refers to a condition of any human being that is permanent and makes the person physically and mentally different from a normal person. Due to this condition or disability, he is not able to function in society.
For example, a mute, deaf, blind, or someone whose body parts are not healthy, then he is called a disabled person. Similarly, those who are mentally behind a normal person, who are also called autistic persons, come under the category of disability. Some disabilities are congenital, and some become disabled accidentally.
I remember there is a family in our street, their daughter was fifteen years old and was going to the market shopping with her mother in a rickshaw. On the way, her dupatta got caught in the tire of the rickshaw and the rickshaw overturned, and her right hand was cut off and fell far away. Now that girl is disabled in one hand but she did not give up and continued her studies.
🌸 Which disability is more challenging? Physical or mental!
Anyway, any type of disability is very painful and challenging. But in my opinion, a mentally disabled person is more challenging. How? I will explain this in detail too. For example, if a person is physically disabled but he has the ability to eat, drink, understand, and do his own work, and he not only understands what others say, but also gets very good positions after getting his education. A blind professor in my city is an example of this. Similarly, our government also provides employment opportunities for them and there are special seats for them.
While a mentally disabled person has to face many problems. Here I will give the example of my son. My son is an autistic boy. He is completely dependent on me. Now, Masha Allah, he is ten years old. However, he cannot speak or express his needs and problems. He is even afraid to go out alone. But I never leave my son alone. I am getting him treated. Now, people who see him often say that we do not believe that there is any problem with this child. But sometimes I get very worried when he gets hurt and he cannot tell, and I see later that there is a wound somewhere or a bruise somewhere, then I know that he is in some pain. I thank to Allah that my son has started walking. Now I only pray that he starts talking.
🌸 How can we encourage those who are going through a disability? Explain!
As far as I have observed, disabled people are mostly not considered good in our society.
🌟 First of all, we have to change our thinking and keep in mind that they are more deserving of our attention and compassion.
🌟 No one is disabled because of their disability, but this problem or disability is from Allah Almighty. The disabled person should be consoled and instead of ignoring him, talk to him so that he does not feel his disability.
🌟 Disabled people should be given jobs with respected way and institutions should be created for their education. Although there are institutions for the blind, mute, and deaf in our country.
🌟 There should also be schools for autistic children in every city at the government level.
Counseling schools should be established for the treatment of mentally disabled people. Private institutions have been established in our cities, but their fees are out of reach of the common man.
🌟 Parents have a very important role in the training of disabled children or individuals. They should also be treated with respect, and their comfort should be given to them. And instead of discouraging the disabled, the courage of the disabled should be increased.
🌷 Friends, today, through this contest, I would like to mention some people whose disabilities are looked down upon and hated by our society. They are eunuchs and those who have small heads and are physically and mentally disabled. Such people are more worthy of our mercy. They should be treated well because their disability is not their own creation. Rather, it is from God.
Thank you so much for reading my post and giving your valuable time🌹.
