Mirror and the Girl : Reflections of Beauty
One of the secrets behind the beauty of an art is to make it incomplete.
It will be completed by whom it is perceived . Delicate strokes I've made in this drawing gave the finest details but i could match the reference picture after all. Once started it can never be stopped until the picture disappears from your mind, so trust the process.
A girl gazing into a mirror, that was the picture that I recreated in my sketchbook. Pinterest always serve me as a medium for reference pictures for drawing. Her eyes are soft and expressive that make someone curious . The mirror seems to be foggy or aged but the reflections are perfect without any distortions.
Blending each strokes were challenging but the amount of satisfaction it gave me was infinite. To me art is to be appreciated first by ourself then by others who truly value it.
I would say that this drawing is in a realistic or semi-realistic style with smooth gradients achieved through blending techniques thereby giving it a lifelike feel. I tried cross-hatching and delicate strokes which added texture to her hair, clothing and the frame. Here the overall mood is serene capturing a quiet moment of self-reflection of her beauty.
Always trust the process and all will be fine at the end.
