The October contest #1 by sduttaskitchen|How do you glance towards the word disability?

in Incredible India3 days ago

Greetings friends of Incredible India,

Today, I intended to participate in the contest hosted by @sduttaskitchen.

A disability is not the same as being unable. It simply means experiencing the world in a new way. This difference creates unique strengths. It brings new ways to solve problems. We must see beyond any simple label. When we value varied viewpoints, everyone wins. These different ways of thinking make the community stronger.

How do you perceive the word disability? Describe.

For me disability is not just a medical label. It is really about how people interact with a world that locks them out. The condition is not the main problem. The true barrier is bad design, prejudiced thinking, and unfair systems. We must stop seeing it as just a weakness or a deficit.

Disability should be viewed as human difference and strength. It is a key part of identity. When society changes and removes physical roadblocks, ability improves. This shows the difference between the medical condition and the disabling setting. This is a clear call to fix our basic designs. We need to remake the default rules.

Which disability is more challenging? Physical or mental?

Comparing different disabilities is pointless. The suffering is not greater, only distinct.

Physical challenges show up outside the body. People must navigate a world full of closed-off spaces. They depend on tools and aids every single day. Their energy is quickly used up. This fight is against real barriers.

Mental disabilities exist within the person's own mind. They cause intense pain that no one else sees. This brings strong feelings of loneliness and isolation. Explaining invisible pain is a heavy, tiring job. Often, other people just dismiss the whole thing. This struggle fights against misunderstanding.

The real problem is not the disability itself. It is fighting a system not built for their needs. Both groups require tremendous personal strength. They need real recognition and wide-scale system overhaul.

How can we encourage those with disabilities? Explain!

Stop seeing limitations in people with disabilities. We must focus on their massive potential and unique strengths instead.

First, we need true access everywhere. This covers physical spaces, online tools, and social settings. Remove the barriers that block independent living. Think ramps, simple websites, and sign language help.

It is key to build truly open environments in schools and workplaces. Offer specialized tools and flexible ways of working. This lets everyone share their talents. They need to feel valued for the work they do.

Finally, offer strong support networks. These include mentors, job skill programs, and friend groups. This helps people feel confident and become independent. Share their success stories often. This inspires others and changes false public ideas. We must value different views. Make sure everyone gets a fair chance to succeed in their own way.

I would like to invite my friends @shohana1 , @mollymochtar and @jyoti-thelight to take part in the contest.

Thank you ! For being with me.
