First Tumor in Aunxtown 2025. Oil pastel on paper, 6 x 9"

Next 4 pastels same dimensions, more or less. I tore paper freehand. On my trip to Austin, Texas, I doodled these after coffee while my friend slept in. Here are a few.

Art is this transgressive space. That needs movement. Color. It is unique in every being. And it is alive. Your art sets you apart. You get out of the artistic bubble. You break those molds because you are painting to please yourself. It doesn't matter to others. It flows onto the canvas. There are no mistakes because it was formed that way.
Good luck. I hope you keep painting, keep writing, keep commenting, keep motivated. How else would we try to live, in a world without color?

Thank you for your kind words. It has taken me 20+ years to realize what you say. It’s the truth, and the truth hurts just right.
Now if I can take some time to clean up my studio and cull the stuff of artifice built up to the ceiling....
Spring is here and calling me to depart, which means clean out the head as well as all the bad art. Dumpster time!
I will keep on my work as I become more summer anonymous.
