ᴀʀᴛ & ᴀʀᴛɪꜱᴛꜱ - Flower Contest | Week 18

✅Hello, everyone! 🙂
Welcome to another edition of this contest, which we hope will be a space for creativity and artistic freedom. This week's theme, inspired by a photograph I share with you, is: "Cactus!"
✅The goal of this contest is to go beyond photography, embracing various forms of art inspired by a photograph I share with you.
Feel free to join in! You can recreate the photograph through drawing, painting, or any other artistic medium. Alternatively, you can create something inspired by the title itself. And of course, you’re always welcome to share a flower photo that you feel matches this week’s theme.
Most importantly—let your creativity flow!
You can submit your entry for the contest as a comment below this post, and the contest will be held weekly.
Your first four hashtags should be: #artonsteemit, #photography, #art, and #flowers, especially if you include the post link in your comment.

Well, yes, I probably should have shown a prickly plant that, regardless of its exact pedigree, all people simply call a cactus, which, usually, standing on the windowsill, does not remind of itself at all, because it even needs to be watered extremely rarely.
A green ball, or something similar to an intricate cucumber, studded with thorns ... but sometimes, which happens extremely rarely, you can see beautiful flowers on a cactus and, it's good that photography does not convey their smell to us ... usually, I say otherwise when thinking about other flowers.
And, a cactus takes precisely the beauty of the flower, and you can not think about the aroma of rotten meat, which should attract pollinating flies, lol.
One such cactus flower, which appeared at sunset, is shown in this photo.
Art is art. How strange this looks inside 🤩

Hi!
This is my entry:
The Pale Mammillaria, a small, often unassuming cactus, transforms into a spectacle of delicate beauty when it blooms. Typically appearing in late winter or early spring, its tiny, exquisite flowers emerge in a charming halo around the plant's apex.
True to its name, these blossoms often exhibit soft, muted tones—creamy whites, faint yellows, or the palest blush of pink. Their delicate petals create a striking contrast against the cactus's spiny, sometimes grayish-green body, highlighting nature's ability to produce elegance in harsh environments.

Is this your cactus? Why not draw one and take a picture of it?
