Religious art
I took some religious photos and I want to share them and give my opinion. This one, for example, depicts the Virgin Mary—that's what they told me when I asked. Then I asked how they knew the Virgin Mary looked like that. I didn't get an answer, and I left.
I continued my tour and took this other photograph, I didn't ask anything, I like the design.
My opinion : I have a lot of faith in GOD, but I am NOT a fanatic, I consider that religion is a set of rules to follow, something that I DO NOT do, in my house I pray to GOD, every day when I get up I offer HIM what I will do during the day, I think that it is more relevant to offer because I want it than having to do it to comply with rules.....I wish you a happy Sunday.
The photos are mine, taken with my SAMSUNG S20FE mobile phone.
I have a lot of faith in God. I don't go to any church, and God takes care of us, protects us, and is always present in our lives. I'm obviously referring to my partner and my mother.
You make me laugh. I don't think anyone knows what the Virgin Mary and Jesus look like, but it's a good point.

I believe that what Maria or Jesus looks like depends on the painter and most likely his vision of life. It's not said she looked like this, most likely not. She's blond and has a very pale, unhealthy skin. 🤔
I agree with you that visiting church nor praying 24/7 or absolution makes one a good "christian"
I am raised with a believe where it's forbidden to make pictures of those who are "holy", gods included, which makes sense if you read the bible. This and all the richdom you only see in Catholic churches. It feels they care more about gold, wealth than the people.

My grandmother said that the man who posed to paint the picture of JESUS had been seen drinking alcohol and with several women hahaha, imagine, what holiness hahaha.
I DON'T like religious images, well you see how I think in relation to religion, it's better to offer than to have to do it because the rules demand it, so there's no merit.
If she saw that for sure the faith is gone. It sounds like a drunk Santa Claus in one of those Christmas films.
I am not sure what the idea is of those pictures. If it doesn't live inside, it won't by holding a picture of some person who most likely looked totally different. I imagine you see a photo of some holy person and you would meet this person in real life and it's a drunk, or ugly or the personality sucks...
