Inversion of reality #5
The reality of the monocle is the closest to normal it looks like this.
Here I just added blackness during post-processing, easy correction.
And this is a raw, unprocessed image, as it turned out on the matrix.
But there is one small trick to change the visual reality.
When I assembled this monocle from another lens, I left the opportunity to focus beyond infinity.
You won't get a clear shot, but that wasn't the goal.
Without leaving my seat or changing the angle, I took another picture "beyond infinity".
The object for demonstrating the effect is not very successful, but the principle itself is clear.
We get recognizable silhouettes of objects out of focus and with light patterns.
It will be very interesting for certain objects.
In addition, the possibility of post-processing remains.
It's also probably not the best choice of tools, but as an example.
From these experiments, I realized one thing, I will carry this monocle with me and someday luck will smile on us :)

Hi, dear
I'd like to know, when you talk about "monocular," what type of lens or additive are you referring to?
Can I get closer to capturing normal reality with "monocular" or "binocular" vision? 😉 (This is just a question for reflection.)
Firm @joslud
I'm not sure I understood your question exactly. When I talk about a monocle, I mean a camera lens that has only one glass of a certain shape.
In a way, it's like a pinhole camera, but with a single lens..
I make them out of old slide projector lenses. But sometimes I disassemble and redo camera lenses. In this case, it was an Olympus lens.
By the way, our eye is more like a monocle with one lens, and in this sense it sees reality in the same way as the Olympus monocle))
We also have focus in the center of the field and peripheral vision, in which there is no sharpness, but there is an understanding of the images of objects.
So, the answer to your question is YES :)
====================
It's interesting how one view can change or be seen in different ways. The camera isn't different from the human eye. We all see it differently due to the caoacity of our eyes, light (or not) and your words make it even more interesting.
🍀♥️
You're absolutely right. That's exactly what happens. The lens in the monocle is an analog of the lens of our eye.
If I add an infrared filter to the monocle... the reality will become even more amazing))
