1. See your worth.
Never underestimate yourself and think that you are worth less than others. We may have different situations in life but that doesn't mean your worth is different than others. Always think this way: "We are all humans. My worth as a person is equal to everyone else's." You have the same rights as anyone else to work for yourself, to pursue your dreams and to live your life the way you want to. You can work for things that are valuable to you, in the same way others do. Never compare yourself to others.

2. Learn to accept compliments.
Confident people never get shy nor reject compliments. Others may become embarrassed and even counter compliments with their flaws but that is not the right way to do it. Accepting compliments is one way of affirming your strengths, talents, accomplishments and assets that other people see in you. Value other's good opinion of you. Remember that other people can see the good in you, which you might now know yourself. With this positive mindset, whenever someone compliments you, you can accept it happily and express your gratitude to that person.

3. Know that sometimes, self-doubt is not a bad thing.
Most of us think that self-doubt is always a bad thing. But this is not completely correct. We have to realize that fear and self-doubt may sometimes be a signal that you aren't fully prepared for something. And knowing this, you will have the time to act on what you are lacking. May it be practicing your speech for a convention, or for a recital. It's always important not to be over-confident of yourself. Listening to your self-doubt can always prepare you more for any thing that you need to do.

4. Analyze the right goals for you.
It is good to dream big. But do not let your ideal drag you down. Sometimes making a commitment for extreme resolutions that requires broad, sweeping change, then not being able to accomplish them inevitably, make us lose trust and faith on ourselves and our abilities. In result, our confidence crumbles. Remind yourself that, in setting goals, it is often best to be realistic. Then acknowledge that each goal may take a significant amount of time, effort and work to carry out. Do your best but do not pressure yourself in attaining goals that are unattainable.

5. Do not fear failure.
Failure is not an enemy. It is a friend that we will cross paths from time to time. Failing means you are trying. And that is a big step to make. Be comfortable with the possibility of failure because, whether you like it or not, we are bound to make failures in our lives. Remember that the more you fail, the more you will learn and the more you will grow. Failing does not mean it's the end, most of the time it could only be the beginning. Have a strong mentality to accept your failures and use them as stepping stones to move forward.

6. You are flawed, and that's okay. We all are.
Most of us often confuse success and perfection. These are two different things. Success do not mean you have to be perfect. Perfection do not always bring success. And perfection is, in reality, impossible to achieve as we are humans who are susceptible to make a few mistakes. Always trying to be perfect can lead to anxiety. And anxiety is the worst enemy you can ever deal. Perfections is a form of faulty thinkin that may result to low self-confidence. If you want something, give your best shot!
