RE: My first yoga experience and how yoga has impacted my life

in Natural Medicine5 years ago

Sounds like an amazing introduction to yoga! That vacation sounds like pure bliss to me right now. I can definitely relate to prioritizing sweaty workouts to the ones that at least on the surface appear to be lower impact. Though as I get older year by year I continue to find I need more of the supportive exercise to perform well in the more vigorous types. I keep trying to incorporate more yoga in my life, so I hope some day soon I'll make it more of a habit and find some of the many benefits you have found!

Thank you for reading! Yes yoga is great also if you do more vigorous workout. I’m hoping to be able to resume jogging again. It’s hard on my hips though but I used to run a lot and loved it. It was such a great way to clear my mind. I do miss working my body really hard.

I hope you can get back to it! I love running, and tend to have some tight hip issues to go along with it when I don't do the mobility work to support the movement. Life really is all about trying to find the balance, in movement as well as everything else, right? :)
