Contribution of Agriculture in My Country

Agriculture is an important contributor of the economy in my country. Agriculture sector, being the biggest employer for the main part of population in this case; feed man and also production of essential raw materials for industrial consumption. Mainly rice, corn, vegetables & fruits that feeds to Nation and gives an income on Food Awaracy in this sector same responsible for exports & hence leads increase in state revenues like tea, coffee surely this and some spices.

Apart from its economic importance, agriculture also contributes to the social welfare of our community especially on rural areas. Agriculture supports the lives of many families as their principal source of income. Technology has enabled modern agriculture to increase productivity and efficiency, so that the farmer can produce more with less effort including cost.

Challenges in the Agricultural Sector

An important role, but in my country the agriculture sector faces many problems. They face several challenges but the most important problems are climate changes it leads extreme weather events like floods an drought which make crop yields vulnerable. Furthermore, as technology and capital access remain low barrier for smallholder farmers in terms of enhancing productivity.

Another issue is the overuse of fertilizers and pesticides leading to encroachment on cultivated areas as well in many cases turning agricultural land into industrial/urban. Another is the absence of proper infrastructure (irrigation and distribution systems) causing the harvest is not well distributed, affecting food prices.

Solutions for better agriculture

It demands that the government and society can solve these problems together in some dimensions on several levels. First, invest in agricultural technology such as the right seeds which are climate smart and irrigation systems that are efficient.

Second, the in-service training for farmers should be intensified so that they can respond to sustainable and high-technology agricultural practices. Access to capital is a must, small farmers need this to grow their business

Third, agricultural land use policy should be reinforced so that land grabbing comes to an end. Road and storage warehouses development as part of agricultural infrastructure that should be considered for agricultural product distribution.

This is how the agriculture sector can move forward to deliver maximum benefits both to economy and community welfare with these steps.
