RE: Comment Contest Alert: Capture, Upload and Describe (CUD) #07
This is pear....
But here, we call it "Eben"…
It may not taste like the white man's pear or the popular avocados but it's own taste is nice and unique.
This fruits grow on small or large trees depending on the type of species. The sizes too ranges due to generic variations across different species.
They are some that tastes really good. While some have a little bit of sour taste.
The premature ones often appears pink or purple in colour. While the mature and ready to plug ones have this navy blue colour. Nevertheless, the colour may vary from some species to others.
Eating it raw without cooking it is not enjoyable. But some people do actually eat it without cooking, it feels hard when chewed raw . But the cooked one feels soft as though licking butter or icing on cakes.
They're absolutely uncountable methods of cooking it.
You can just put it in a kettle add water and boil it. Ones it up to about 5 minutes maximum, you can turn off the fire and leave in in the kettle for like 2 minutes. Then take them off.
You can as well put them in a plate , boil water and pour it into the plate and cover it. That way , the pear would also come out soft.
You can also put it in an empty frying pan and stir it for some time. Definitely, it will get cooked.
Anyhow you intend to prepare it, just do it.
Just give it some amount of heat in a speculated period of time.
This pear is often eaten along side corn, bread and you can even use it the sip garri or eat white rice.
I know pear has so many numerous health benefits of which I can't tell right now. Later, I'll definitely check the benefits.
Thanks for reading through....
