Starting off by wishing all steemit friends good health. Let's take part in a great engagement challenge. The theme of the engagement challenge is "sec | s20w6: "The Use of Drones in Agriculture". Today I will share my experience with you through the engagement challenge. So let's begin.

What role have drones played in modernizing agriculture? Use your country as an example if applicable.

Currently, the population growth rate is constantly increasing. But the amount of crop land is fixed. In this technological era, it is possible to increase crop production in agricultural land through the use of unmanned drones in agriculture. Because the climate is constantly changing and this change has a large impact on agricultural land. Starting from planting in a specific land, crop production There are various activities that can be done through drones that can be expected. But not all farmers in our country are fully using drones for crop production.

Many times it is not possible for humans to select the soil for the field crops and diagnose the pests and diseases in the crop field in time after planting the seeds. But drones can do it easily. The manpower and time needed for planting and finalizing a particular field is largely done by drones. Working can reduce. Drones can accurately determine the soil of the cropland and increase the yield. Therefore, the role of drones in crop production in agriculture is immense.

How drones contribute to precision and efficiency in agricultural practices? What are the main benefits of using drones in agriculture?

  • To determine the yield of certain crops on certain types of soil. Because not all types of crops are produced on all soils. Along with climate change, soil composition is also changing. Therefore, the soil that is producing crops today may not produce those crops after a year. Therefore, there is no option without soil testing in agricultural work. Therefore, the change in soil material can be understood by proper use of drones.

  • Irrigation system is very important for crop production in agriculture. Because if irrigation system is not available, the crop produced may be lost. Therefore, crop irrigation can be maintained easily and precisely through drones.

  • Planting crops in agricultural land requires more people and is time consuming. With this unmanned drone technology you can plant seeds very quickly. Currently planting crops using drones in Japan and China.

  • Pesticides can be sprayed on the crop land through drones. By doing this, pesticides will be used very well on the crop land and even if insects attack the crop land, it is possible to drive them away through the drone. Large-sized crop fields can be made easily through drones.

How drones help manage soil moisture and nutrient levels in crops?

Through this unmanned drone, soil moisture can be understood. As a result of climate change, water is not uniform everywhere in vast crop fields. Through the thermal technology used in drones, it is possible to collect the temperature of the soil from all sides of the crop land. That is, the place where the amount of water in the soil is high and low is known and the moisture of the field can be fixed immediately through the irrigation system through the drone. Also, the lab collects soil samples with the drone. Through this soil moisture is known.

Drones can manage crop nutrient levels from planting to harvest. Cropland nutrient levels can be balanced by monitoring cropland soil with drones and applying pesticides accordingly.

Explain the significance of multispectral and hyperspectral imaging sensors in agricultural drones.

The multispectral and hyperspectral imaging sensors of the drones in the cultivated fields allow the farmer to monitor his land such as whether the nutrient quality of the crop soil is correct. It is also of immense importance to detect weeds in large-scale crop fields. They are also significant in controlling pests and diseases in the crop fields. has

The extent of pest damage to the crops is also known. Farmers can easily solve significant problems from their agricultural land right from planting to harvesting with multispectral and hyperspectral imaging sensors.

How drones help in soil mapping and why is it important for precision farming?

A drone equipped with a high resolution camera and GPS capability is flown in clear weather to create a map of the selected land. The drone captures a series of overlapping images while flying over the selected area. The images are captured using Flight Plan software. Soil mapping for agriculture with drones gives better results than humans.

Land needs to be identified before crop production. Land needs to be mapped. Drones capture images using photogrammetry software. Drones accurately review cropland from photographing to completion of mapping. Therefore, the importance of precision farming by creating maps through drones is immense.

Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.

Here in South Africa, a lot of farmers are using drones not only for agriculture purposes but also for things like theft.

Well, I didn't know that. I found out after reading your comment. Anyway, thank you very much dear.

Drone is hardly used in my area for checking of farmland. I think it is best used in a large hectares of farmland. Thank you for your invitation and good luck to you.

It is also used a little less in our country. Thank you for commenting. Hope you will participate in this engagement challenge very soon. thanks dear.
