| "Crop Rotation in Agriculture"
Crop rotation is one the perfect agriculture method of improving the soil fertility through the cultivation of different crop on the same land yearly. I suggest that farmers engage in this practice because it is going to help improve the soils structure and establishing a means which the soil can accept various plants to be cultivated on.
1: What is crop rotation, and what benefit do they have in agricultural practices?
Crop rotation is a process which different crops are cultivated on the same piece of land year after year in other to maintain the soil fertility.
Crop rotation can also be seen as a method of preserving the soil fertility through the planting of specific crops on one piece of land annually for good harvest each year.
BENEFITS OF CROP ROTATION
✅ Crop rotation enables the soil to adapt to any kind of crop which is been planted every year.
✅ Crop rotation helps the soil to regain it's fertility through the cultivation of several crops on the piece of land.
✅ Through the cultivation of different crops on the land some crops which are enemies to some insects can scare them away for good.
✅ Crop rotation helps to preserve the soils fertility for high yield of crops every harvesting season.
✅ crop rotation is an agricultural means of reducing erosion and to also help in the improvement of crop health.
✅ Crop rotation is a way of increasing the nutrients available for crops at a given season every year of cultivation.
✅ Crop rotation is a process which the soil structure can be improved every year for high yield of crops.
2: Discuss some of the common crop rotation patterns?
The single year rotation is a process which has to do with the alternating between two different crops each year. They is also a two year rotation that involves a cycle of two crops been cultivated over a two year period.
Cover cropping is also a pattern of crop rotation which is a practice of rotating crops is applied to small scale gardens which is the act of planting specific plant families in one area of the land and a different area of land that next season.
The four years crop rotation is a cycle of 4 years that legumes (beans) etc are cultivated because their roots have nodules which enrich the soil with nitrogen from the atmosphere.
3: Explain how crop rotation improves soil fertility?
Crop rotation helps to improve the soil fertility when the crop plants use all the present nitrogen in the soil in other to recover the nitrogen which the leguminous plant that contains bacteria that later changes the atmosphere nitrogen to nitrogen compounds used to improve the fertility of crop plants.
Which cultivating crops like beans, peas or clover because this crops can from nitrate, this crops are useful to the soil for their nitrogen fixing bacteria in thier roots. This process will increase the nitrogen context/content of the fertility of the soil.
4: Tell us how crop rotation help to mitigate climate change?
Crop rotation is the cultivation of various plants on one piece of land annually. Crop rotation is very effective in the improvement of climate change through the enhancement of water dynamics, biological conditions in planting system and the soils fertility/health.
Crops like legumes that fix nitrogen into the soil are capable of mitigate climate change through the help of photosynthesis and planting operations process
