Exploration-s23w3 / Outdoor Kitchen.
This outdoor kitchen is a blast! I love using it when I'm home with my family. My mom enjoys it a lot, so if you visit her, you'll definitely see the outdoor kitchen.
I live in the biggest city in my country, and outdoor kitchens are pretty rare here. I was nervous when I first started, but I completed it before anyone noticed.
Now, I can't wait to show you what I've created for myself!
Tell us about your experience with outdoor food, which you like to prepare, do you enjoy the process? |

My experience with outdoor kitchens is not new, and I always find it enjoyable. At home, I have plenty of space to work with. I once got burned by coal while roasting yam.
Roasted yam is a traditional dish that my dad loves. When preparing it, you slice the yam without peeling the skin, just make a small cut and sprinkle salt on it. Then, you place it on the hot coals and let it roast, turning it occasionally to prevent burning.
Once the yam is ready, I peel off the skin by scraping it. It's a wonderful experience that connects you to various local dishes. We enjoy this yam with palm oil, oil bean seeds (ukpaka), and pepper, and it's so delicious.
Prepare two of the 3 recipes explained in the course and present them creatively. |

Since I don't stay in the rural area, I made do with the available to prepare these outdoor delicacies.

🔥 Beef (300g)
🔥 Tooth picks
🔥 1 Onion
🔥 Red and green pepper
🔥 Salt to taste
🔥 Seasoning cubes
🔥 Wooden stick for fire
🔥 Onions
Process
• Wash the beef with salt and a clean water. Slice it in small sizes and season with ypur desired spices.
• Wash onion and Red pepper in a clean water and slice them.
• Using toothpick, I stacked the meat with onions and pepper because I couldn't get a stick, it was nice anyway. I just had to device a means.
• I used some stack of woods to make a fire, then using a net like object, I made a grill to place my stacked meat since it wouldn't touch the ground or touch the wood to avoid sand from entering it.

• This is what we call Anu amiriami in the Eastern part of Nigeria. The Hausa's call it Suya. I like that I practiced it today, it was interesting but scary because of my neighbours.

Finally, my hunter bread and Kaboob are ready!

Which of the recipes was easier and more difficult? Why? |
---|
The hunter bread was easier and faster. It has just 3 processes and you get it done. I didn't up to 20 mins to get it fixed except for the roasting.
I guess because I used a steel spoon, it almost got my thumbs burnt. I enjoyed it more though.
The most difficult is the Kaboob, it has a lot of processes. To make my fire was a serious case because the breeze from my side was more than too much. It made me finish up all my paper for lighting the wood. I struggled with it for over 30 mins.
When roasting, I had to stand watching it and turning it. I got exhausted at a point and wanted to give up but since I have already started, I pushed to finish.
4.What steemians would you invite to eat your preparation and why? How would you invite him? |

I want to invite @ruthjoe because she enjoys unique meals, especially ones that are not common. She loves rice, but this dish will amaze her since she is also a big fan of meat. I’ll send her this message so she doesn’t miss out.
Hi @ruthjoe, I’d like to invite you to a special dinner featuring kaboob wit hunter bread. It’s a tasty outdoor dish that’s different from the usual, and I think you’ll really enjoy it.
I really hope you say yes because I know you appreciate great food. You probably haven’t tried this dish before, so here’s your chance! I hope to see you before it’s all gone.
The assigned tasks should be graphed with images and at the end a selfie with the dish ready. |

Wonderful presentation, I know as a cook you will find it very easy to do. I will sue you for not inviting me to eat with you. Do you how I love meat? Well your post is great I wish you good luck.
Yes mama, it was very easy, it wasn't a challenge at all but my only fear was starting an outdoor kitchen in my apartment where such things are not allowed. I was just being too fast so that I won't be catched, and you know the smoke was too much.
I love meat too, that was why I chose to do it. As for inviting you, it's not too late ma'am, the meat is still intact.
Thank you so much my friend, of course I enjoyed the outdoor cooking. This is what I miss most about home, it gives me the privilege to explore, but in the city, I am limited.
Thank you so much.
I definitely will enjoy this kind of meals.
It looks really yummy. You are a chef indeed.
