What do you understand by Traditional Agriculture

The traditional agriculture is the well known methods of farming that have been practiced for centuries.This kind of the agriculture depend on the domestic knowledge and skills which have passed down from the generations and the surrounding communities.It involves the farming on the smaller scales where the farmers cultivate their crops.

One of the main characteristics of this type of the agriculture is that it depends on the natural resources.The farmers use different types of the techniques of the cropping and planting numerous plants together to promote the fertility of the soil.This type of the agriculture is not only benifical to main the balance in the ecology but it also a source of the diet for many farming families.In this type of the agriculture the organic fertilizers are used to enhance the productivity of the crops.

It is also deeply linked with the practices of the culture and also with the societal structures.Farming families often celebrate their seasonal festivals that are accord to the planting and harvesting times, such events reinforce the social bonds.This kind of the agriculture often face challenges in this modern technological world such as climate changes and degradation of the land. Within these challenges this agricultural technique play important role in the food security particularly in those areas which are developed.

Mention those traditional/semi-modern Agricultural tools and its uses

Both types of the agricultural tools are important for the farming practices, they are helpful in the cultivation of the land and also helpful in the harvesting of the plants.Some tools have been evolved but most of the tools still reflect the techniques and technology which have passed down through generations.

The oldest tool of the agriculture is called as the plough which is used for filling the soil.It has made from the wood and pulled by the animals.This tool makes the soil soft and it makes for the seeds easier to be planted. In this modern world it is made up of the metal and driven by the tractors.

Another tool named as the hoe which is used for the wedding process.It is also helpful in shaping the rows for the planting.It is used to cultivate the soil.The carts are pulled by the animals which are used for the transportation of the goods, they have an important role to connect the farmers with the market.For the leveling of the soil which traditional tool is used is called as the rake.
