Basic Knowledge in Agriculture #14

Hello Agro lovers! it's always a pleasure to me. But before going into the topic of the day, Agriculture as I was taught since my teenage school how we grow food to feed everyone. I'll compare it to Just like how we use smartphones and computers to make our lives easier, the farmers too also use some special tools and machines to help them grow more crops and raise animals better and easier. With relevance to this week contest is what we call Agricultural Technology.

What is Agricultural Technology?

The term Agricultural Technology is just about having a super-powered helpers on the farm! It's comprises of the cool machines, tools, and smart ideas that help farmers to grow more food while using less of water and keeping the soil healthy. It made it easier for farmers with super powers to grow tastier vegetables, juicier fruits, and healthier animals.

Modern Agricultural Equipment and Their Uses

1. GPS Tractors
I love to start with these particular one because they are like smart cars for farms! The GPS tractors can drive themselves by just using signals from satellites in the space. They help farmers to:

• Plant seeds in a more perfect straight lines and spacing
• It Avoid driving over the same spot twice
• It still Work even when it's dark outside
• Save fuel and cost of time.

2. The Drones

These I know many might not be familiar or aware of but just like other drones, it's a flying robots with a farmer's eye in the sky!
The Farm drones can:

• Take the pictures of crops from high above
• It Spray water or plant medicine to exactly where it's needed
• It helps Spot sick plants before they make other plants sick as well
• It Check if animals are really safe in a big fields outing.

3. Smart Irrigation Systems
These one are like the automatic sprinklers with a brain!
Their work helps by:

• Giving the plants just the right amount of water needed
• Turning on immediately when plants are thirsty
• Saving of water by not watering when it rains
• Sending of messages to the farmers' phones about water use.

Conclusion

These Agricultural Technology is what's making farming more easier, smarter, and better for our planet now. These above mentioned tools among many others still available out there help farmers to grow more food while taking good care of our earth 🌍. As the technology keeps getting more better, farming will definitely also become even more amazing in the future for us!
