Animal Activities #09

I am very excited to participate in this contest organized by @xkool24 and here is my opinion concerning this topic.

Giraffes are wild animals usually found in African countries. They are not domesticated animals; they can be easily found in the savannah where they live comfortably. Giraffes are popular animals with long necks and legs, making them one of the tallest animals in the world. They feed on leaves, such as acacia, and other trees, which makes them herbivores.

Their feeding habits promote plant growth, giving them the ability to reproduce other plant species. Some classify giraffes as social animals, which can be found in different national parks across African countries. Students from universities, colleges, and polytechnics visit these parks for excursions to see these beautiful creatures. Their lives are always in danger because other animals like lions, tigers, and hyenas feed on them for sustenance. It also contributes to the economic development of some cultures through tourism attractions, where foreigners visit to see these amazing creatures.

These wild animals have been in existence for a long time and they have brown and white coat spots which make their color so unique among other animals. Giraffe populations are decreasing due to illegal hunting in some African countries. Governments can contribute positively to their lives by employing rangers to serve as security in order to protect their environment.
