Agriculture and Climate
Hi : |
---|
Hi everyone I am fine and I hope that you all will be also fine. This is me M.abdullah and I am today participating in a contest which is about the climatic condition of agriculture .I am participating in his contest by answering the questions.
How can farmers predict climate changes without modern technology? |
---|
Farmers can predict climate change by traditional methods without using modern methods. Some of the traditional methods are :
- Plants Behaviour.
- Animals Behaviour.
- Condition of sky and wind.
The farmers know the timing of plant processes of blooming flowers or refining of fruits etc. These observations can prove beneficial as the early booming of flowers can show that there may be early spring.
Animal Behaviour can also tell us about climate change by their behaviour some birds fly lower which maybe means that there would be a storm.
The sky condition can also tell the farmer about the climate condition like the colour of the sky can tell the climate condition like if the sky is red at night then it can tell that tomorrow is good weather.
Why do some crops fail in certain regions despite having suitable soil and water availability? |
---|
Some crops fail in certain regions despite having suitable soil and water availability because their are many factor which are responsible for the failure of some crops .These factors are :
- Climatic Condition.
- Diseases.
- Improper Agriculture practices.
Some crops can grow in hot temperatures that why growing it in a cold temperature is not possible. Growing crops in too hot or in too cold temperatures is not possible . Giving a suitable temperature to the crop is very important.
Some pests or infections can damage the crops which are not responsible for water and soil, If there are many pests and infection in the farming area then it can reduce the yield.
Human factors are also responsible for the damage to the crop. The too use of pesticides and poor irrigation and poor management can damage the crop and lead to failure in the growth of the crops.
What would happen if global temperatures increased by just 2°C for agriculture? |
---|
If the global temperature increased by just 2C For agriculture. Then it would have a sharp responsibility for the crops. Some of the affects of 2C are :
- Change in the growing seasons.
- Much competition for land and resources.
- Economic Impact.
If the temperature is increased by 2C then in cold regions the plantation of the crop will be earlier than its time and the removal will be late like the Wheat (crop) etc. While in the hot temperature regions, the plantation of the crop will be later then its time and the removal will be earlier and the quality will decrease.
Some farming areas would be not suitable for farming and would be trying to get other area and for agriculture use may be the forests are cut down and their would be an conflict on the farming areas and resources.
Due to the increase in temperature, the yield for farming will shrink and the amount of crops will be all reduced making the prices of the crops high and making it difficult for everyone to buy crops like wheat for roti which is very important for some people for eating food as some people make a parata for food or breakfast. It means that I the temperature is increased by 2C then it will affect the humans in all factors like the reduction in the amount of the food variety etc.
Climatic condition is very important for the cops as it have many negative points.
Like the less amount of crops will be produced.
