Brandy became one of the promising female artists then through her self titled debut album, and released the song "Brokenhearted" as the final single off the album, which featured Wanya Morris of the R&B group Boyz II Men. It became a number 9 hit in US Billboard Hot 100, a return to the top 10 and her third to do so. It reached number 2 in US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
